Not good! You needed to do a System Restore or a Repair using the Restoration disk. As you have found doing a quick format, you have wiped the harddrive.
Now you need more than just the drivers. You need the basic files for the Windows Operating System that was on there. Boot Records is just part of these files.
You may want to use Bart Pe, and create a boot disk.
