Question about Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2008 Full Version for PC (733199435925)

When I turn on my computer it takes 30 min for Trend internet security to load. Locks up desk top if I click on anything.

You can try uninstalling and re installing trend micro to fix the problem

Here’s a tested resolution to the Trend Micro – No internet connectivity issue:

In this case it was Windows 7 with Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2010.

Right click on the Trend Micro tray icon and choose “Exit”.
Make sure you can get online.
Start Trend micro from the start menu or desktop icon.
Go to the firewall settings under “Home Network & Firewall Controls” *
Click “settings”
Click “advanced settings”
Go to the “Program control” tab
Locate and remove anything that shows “blocked”
Go to the “Network Protocol Control” tab
Locate and remove anything that shows “blocked”
Click OK.
Update the software by clicking “update now” on the main window (Overview) and make sure system shows “Protected” **
Restart the computer and try to go online again.
If successful, you’re done J

1.Open the Trend Micro Internet Security main console by doing any of the following:

Click Start > Programs or All Programs > Trend Micro Internet Security > Trend Micro Internet Security.

2.On the left panel, click Virus & Spyware Controls. Under Protection Against Viruses & Spywaresection, click Settings

3.Under Check for the following threats section, put a checkmark in the checkboxes for Threats in incoming mail and Threats in outgoing mail to enable mail scanning. To disable it, remove the checkmarks.

4.Click OK to save your settings.

Unable to remove 2005 trend micro ,error message says type in password,how do delete and perhaps upgrade to the latest version?


Using the PCCTool To uninstall the program using the Support Tool, follow the steps below: 1. Go to the C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Internet Security 2005\ directory. 2. Double-click on the PCCTool.exe file to start it up. 3. When the Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security window appears, go to the [E] Uninstall tab. 4. When you see the confirmation dialog box, click Uninstall. 5. Wait while the program is completely removed from your system.
6. When the uninstallation finishes and you see a dialog box asking you whether you want to restart now or later, click Yes to restart your computer and have the changes take effect immediately or No to restart and have the changes take effect at a later time.

Trend micro will not load


If the issue still occurs, restart PC-cillin Internet Security using PCCTool:



a.
Double-click My Computer on your Desktop.




b.
Double-click Local Disk.




c.
Go to the C:\Program Files\Trend Micro




d.
Double-click the PCCTool.exe file (its icon appears as a capsule and a lifesaver).




e.
On the General tab, under Start and Stop, click 2. Quit All Modules.




f.
Click 1. Start All Modules.




g.
Check if the issue still occurs.

1. make sure that the previous installation is inactive
2. since this is a new computer, upgrade to the Trend Micro Internet Security 2009 version. use the same serial number and remember to create a NEW account when prompted.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This error will appear if you have installed the 16.05 version of
Trend Micro Internet Security Pro, Trend Micro Internet Security and
Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2008 on a computer running
Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 or Window XP with Service Pack 3.


The Trend Micro Personal Firewall and the Unauthorized Changes
Prevention features main components do not work with the new service
packs from Microsoft.


A working version of Trend Micro Internet Security Pro, Trend Micro
Internet Security and Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2008 with
Windows Vista SP1 and Windows XP SP3 would be released sometime in
February 2008.


The release would be timed before Microsoft uploads the new service
packs in their automatic update servers for Windows.


To prevent this message from appearing, follow the steps indicated
below:


a.Check the program version of the Trend Micro program installed on
your computer.


b.If you are using version 16.05 and you want to continue using this
latest version of the Trend Micro program, you must uninstall the non-
working service pack from Microsoft.


c. If you do not want to remove the new Microsoft service packs, Trend
Micro suggests that you uninstall the Trend Micro program installed in
your computer and install PC-cillin Internet Security 2007 until the
release of the working version.

Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 14 loading but never loaded


I had a similar problem and this worked for me
with Trend Micros Internet Security.

You will have to uninstall the program first then reinstall it, otherwise it
will hang and cause problems with your computer.

In order to uninstall it do these steps.
Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > System Configuation.
Makes sure you select Selective Startup, and that Load Startup Items is unchecked.
Click OK, and you should be prompted to reboot.

After you reboot and the system is loaded your Virus Software icon will NOT
be in the taskbar trying to load.

Now go into control panel > Programs and Features.
Find the virus program, hightlight and select the uninstall option.
After its done doing that go back into the Control Panel >
Administrative Tools > System Configuration. Select Normal Startup
and hit the OK button.

Reboot again when you see the button prompt.
Now, after the system comes up, reinstall your virus software,

You should be good to go from there.
The process is for Vista, but if your running Windows XP it is very similar.
