Re: Hampton Bay wall lantern (outside light)

You should see 4 small painted or brass colored knobs on the top of the light. Unscrew these and pull off the top.

Two-sided wall heater, re-igniting the pilot. Where does the match go? .look at page 9-10 for lighting. no match needed should have a clicker, red push buttom. other than that there will be a small window that you can open and light with a match. if the wind is blowing you may need to cover the outside vent with somethig to keep the maych lit.

Gas boiler problem

For a competent expert to be able to answer your problem, you will need to givea specific make and model of your unit.
Also include as much as possible about what you have already tried to do toresolve the problem along with exactly what is not working or what the unit isnot doing that it is supposed to do.
This will help us experts to be able to give you the correct advise the firsttime, without having to guess so much as to what is actually happening.

Thank you!

I want to install (bathroom) an electric wall insert fan heater on an outside wall. Will the insulation and plastic vapour barrier be an issue???

Depends on the heater/fixture. All devices of this sort list minimum clearances between sides and combustable materials.

As to will insulation be a problem, depends what you call a problem. Will it need to be removed? Most likely yes if for no other reason then to provide cavity/freespace to install the heater. For a exterior wall application a small baseboard electric heater would be a better solution to the problem or a toekick electric heater under a sink vanity.

Door bell will not chim. I replaces the part outside as light was out. That part seems fine, but wondering if inside part was wired correctly.

take a volt meter and check for 20volts a.c. at supply transformer, its usually located in the basement that supply power to the bell circuit,if you have pwr, then chk for broken wires, its just "bell-wire" very frail and will open up after years in the enviroment otherwise could be the doorbell unit itself, not likely though

Williams 3003622 Wall Mounted Panel Heater Draft Blows Pilot Out.

yes. open cover, set to pilot and push in then light with a long nosed butane lighter like the ones used for lighting stoves. Hold pilot in for a few minutes, then close pilot cover and turn pilot knob to on position. that should take care of it unless you need a new coupler. good luck as the couplers go out on these heaters prematurely.
