Question about Husqvarna Garden
Make sure you use the highest octane unleaded fuel you can buy. Make sure your mixture is exactly as prescribed, even the slightest deviation can be a problem. My Husgavarna 359 had the problem just like yours when it was new, new. I would have to take the spark plug out and let it dry out or blow it out with air. It would then run like a top.

Dealer looked at piston by removing muffler and found bad scoring, it was very easy to see the damage.
Prognosis: chainsaw is junk. Cost to rebuild top end and replace seals on bottom end provided there is no further damage is approx. $275 - $350 in parts + labor = > $400 total repair cost. Dealer stated the probable cause was saw got to hot and/or bad fuel mix above and beyond years of heavy use. Not worth repairing due to age of saw > 8 yrs old and unknown condition of bottom end. I am replacing the saw with a new Rancher 460 with 20" bar.
Sigh.....sure didn't need this expense!!
