Hello Bobby-Jo Hill,

Fix it... or get it fixed...

Take it to a RECOMMENDED mechanic... See if there are complimentary READINGS available and get an ESTIMATE.

Your manual indicates the car should still be drivable...
(MEANING a TOW isn't YET required ...

Once the codes (diagnostic trouble) are written down...
You will have a real idea what you need...

Just remember... replacing OXYGEN SENSORS make about as much sense as buying a new thermometer... if you have a FEVER.

Save the money... a collapsed muffler or catalytic converter

When descent control system light came on there was a noise and the car sounded like the wheel was going to come off

I recommend you take to a reliable brake service shop, if not the dealer. Brakes are important safety devices. They are not DIY
issues.

I need 2 find out how many miles there is between 2 hotels

First, you need to find out which two hotels you're referring to. Then you can look at a map, or enter their addresses into something like Mapquest, or repost question giving the names of the hotels.

Hi I have just now noticed the MR2.Former Jeep owner but now have fallen for the MR2's 1991-1993 models.Cant drive a stick anymore so what concerns do the automatic transmissions have ? Any differences...

Hello, and welcome to FixYa. Please allow me to assist you.

The MR2 auto transaxles are very reliable units. Just change the ATF with the correct fluid every 30,000 miles. If it has high mileage, 90 + K miles, and is a dirty colour, I'd recommend a transmission flush. This will remove all of the dirty fluid from the system.

The MR2 non-turbo was a fun car, and had very few comon failures.

Try to stay away from the turbo cars, the turbos are know to fail, and the parts and labour to replace the turbo is very expensive.

The MR2s are rather quirky when it comes to servicing the cooling system, you have to bleed the air out. The necessary procedure is in the owner's manual, or online.

Other than those items, the MR2 is a very decent and reliable car. A little noisy, with the engine right behind you, but, that is part of the fun.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance.

Saturn L300 2002-security light blinks, running lights blink,

Several GM products, including the Chevrolet Impala and Malibu, the Oldsmobile Alero, the Pontiac Grand Prix, and Saturn Ion, have issues with the Security light coming on. This is many times an indication of a failing Body Control Module (BCM). Initially, the Security light will come on then go off, progressing to a constant on light, before the car will refuse to start. Other symptoms may include erratic action of electronics, a clicking sound coming from the glove box, and the air conditioning failing to blow cold air. I recommend a shop that specializes in the electronic systems of vehicles to diagnosis and make the necessary repairs. They should keep the car until they replicate the symptoms described. A new BCM from GM should cost about $230; plan on another $200 for them to diagnose the problem, replace the unit, and program the new unit. The dealers quote between $700 and $1,100 for the same repair. My experience and the experiences I have read on the internet, indicate the new BCM should last only about a year.

Yes it is fixable. Depending upon the blink count, the repair cost will vary. Can you post the count please? It should be a repeating count with a pause inbetween. This will indicate the problem circuit.

Thanks,
Dan
