I had a power interruption. I can not now access my voice mail (Partner VS Version 5) I get a busy signal. Calls do not go into voice mail. There is no LED lit on the module.

Try rebooting the phone system. Black power cord comes up on the right side. There is a switch there, turn off, count to 5 and turn back on.

I am looking for a manual for our lucent phone. It is flashing replace system battery w/ power on. I don't know where the battery is. Also I would like to change the time. Any online manuels available?

The system batteries are located on the main processor card of the telephone system. there is a door on the lower end. behind the slide door are 2 AAA batteries.Replace them with the power on.
Changing the time on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11. At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
next press the left hand intercom twice
the display should say system programming
enter in "#103"
the display should say system time and the current programmed time
enter the new time in 24 hour format
press feature "00" to logout
And finally here's a link to a Partner ACS 3.0 manual: http://www.wedophones.com/Manuals/AT&T/Partner%20ACS%20R3-0%20Programming%20and%20Use.pdf

Lucent Partner 34D phone system with 18D extensions

That doesn't sound good at all. I would first try powering down the system and waiting about 15 seconds or so before powering back up. If the problem remains, the processor was some how damagedand would be best if it was looked at by your vendor.

Power the system off and after about 10 seconds power back on. This usaully clears the problem. Let me know if there is still an issue.

Battery Backup

The system itself could have a backup power supply, but it's external to the box.

A Partner ACS has a memory backup battery and the console will tell you when it needs to be changed, or you just change it once a year and forget about it.

It's 2 AA batteries located in the bottom of the processor card. You keep the system powered up, slide the plastic lock aside, note how you take the batteries out and put 2 new ones in their place, then put the cover back on and lock it.

2. Press the left intercom 2 times
3. Enter # 103
4. Enter the correct time in 24 hr. format, for example:

Static in phones

Static on Partner systems is not too uncommon and more likely as the system ages. These systems use relays (electric switches) to connect to outside lines and extensions. The static is usually from a faulty relay, but sadly these are not really repairable by end users. A power outage is sometimes associated with spikes - short high voltage conditions that occur as the power comes back on. Any vulnerable component may fail at that time. The solution is to replace the bad circuit pack. These are available used - just use your search engine. Prevention can be as easy as installing a good surge and spike protector power strip between the system and the outlet.
