I have a coleman presidential electric heater in my mobile home. The heating element works but the blower wont turn on. What could it be?

First check your thermostat.. RED wire(power) should be connected to the GREEN wire(fan).... a Multi- Meter should read 24v if you have power. If there's power going to the FAN(Green) Then your looking at a Bad Blower Motor (AND, OR) A bad Capacitor.

Hopefuly it's just a loose wire or bad capacitor,, the motor isnt cheap..
!!!STAY SAFE!!!!!.. and best of luck to you.....

Blower fan stopped working

Your fan may be overheating.
Here are a few things you can check yourself:
- make sure the air filter and the coils are clean
- check all electrical wire connections for tightness. Be sure to shut off the circuit breaker to the unit. Check all connections.
- look for anything out of the ordinary....burnt wires, burnt wire connections, overheated controls, etc.
After doing all these things, if you continue to experience problems, your fan motor could have bearings that are failing or the capacitor (if applicable) could be weak, or you might have a control problem.

I hope you find this information to be very helpful in your quest for truth. ;-) Let me know if you have any further questions.

AC unit wong start unless I spin the blower

you have 2 windings that are in you motor,One winding is the start winding It give the motor its initial boost that gets the fan spinning. The other winding is the run winding and it takes over and keeps the fan running. So it sounds like the motor is bad because the start winding is not giving the boost it needs to start. good luck--Nate

I have a 13,500 btu coleman on our 1989 avion camper. It was making a very loud noise for some time, and vibrating then the motor locked up on it. My husband thinks the blower went out on it. It was...

You should be able to turn the fan motor freely by hand. If there is any resistance or the noise turning it by hand, then the fan motor is definitely bad. Is it a wall thermostat unit or manual controls? Wall thermostat, you can use a jumper wire from the 12+ terminal of the thermostat to the HG terminal and the fan should come on, if not, then the motor is bad.

Fan wobbles on coleman MACH3

What is the model number of your current air conditioner? You will usually have to remove the upper shroud, evaporator housing and condenser housing to get all of this out. With that removed, the fan motor should have three or four studs holding it to the plate. Remove the screws from the plate and the whole assembly will lift out.
