PF flashes if the washer loses power during a running cycle.

If you have PF code and machine has power,
just press START to continue the cycle from the moment that power was lost or press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display and completely cancel the cycle.

If instead machine lost power completely , check wiring to control panel, wiring harness from power outlet and test on a different power outlet, eventually using an extension.

If that does not fix the problem, you may need to replace wiring harness or timer control assembly.

If there is no power at all, and it is not the outlet, there is need to read voltages at the control board using a multimeter. Probably there is a lose contact or a short had blown something inside. First part to check is the timer board.

You need a technician to do that.

OK, this code represents a power failure and it could have possibly happened when your breaker experience a hit or surge form the outside line transformer during a electrical Storm or high winds. The surge may have damaged the control board or simply tripped the safety feature. I recommend first trying to reset the board. Unplug the dishwasher for 5 minutes. you can pull the physical plug or turn off the circuit breaker for 5 total minutes. after the 5 min reset, plug or power up the breaker and the dishwasher should start. if it dose not start after the reset, this will confirm the control fault and you may have some major damaged within the power supply board and the control board as well.make sure you clear the error code before you start the 5 minute reset.

I need to know what the error code pf means for a frigidaire gallery model #fgh202465nf1a

Hey Carol, I understand that you are receiving an "PF" error message on your Frigidaire Dishwasher. Typically this error code indicates a power failure. Before considering contacting a service provider, I would recommend resetting the dishwasher by turning off the power to the appliance for about five minutes. After the five minutes return power to the appliance, this should allow the appliance to return to working condition. At this time if you find the problem still persists, you may want to consider contacting a professional technician. The concern could be the control board. Hope this helps! -JK

How do i reset frigidaire dishwasher

If would help to know the model number of the dishwasher. But usually if pressing Cancel button does not get rid of it then there is a fault in the control module.

FDB4315LFC2 runs then stops and flashes pf ?

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that your Frigidaire dishwasher, model# FDB4315LFC2, starts and then stops, and flashes a "PF" code when it stops. The "PF" code is stating that there has been a power failure. There could be a possibility that your dishwasher is losing power mid-cycle. I suggest checking your home's circuit breaker, the wiring to your dishwasher, and if you have a cut-off switch, checking that as well. I also suggest resetting your appliance, by shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 20-30 minutes. Restore power and start any cycle. If further troubleshooting is needed, I ask that you please let me know the error codes displayed on your appliance. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

  • Find the "Start/Cancel" button on the dishwasher's control pad. This button is located on the far-right side of the pad on most Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher models.
  • 3 Press the "Start/Cancel" button to clear the "PF" error code. Resume using the dishwasher as normal. You may have to reselect and start your cycle from the beginning.

My Frigidaire electrolux dishwasher model # FDB2310LCC0 trips a pf code 40minutes into the cycle and it is not the circuit breaker. how do i correct this problem?

Good Morning Doria, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

Typically PF means power failure and you should be able to start a cycle. Unplug the unit or flip the household circuit breaker. Wait about ten minutes and then turn the unit back on. If the error code continues to display, I would suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnose and repair it.

Best of luck!

The PF code means that there is a power problem with your unit. Make sure that you're not having issues with your outlet.  Check the connection at the junction box to make sure they're good and tight.  If both of those check out ok, open the front panel of the dishwasher and check the wiring harness there.  About 1/3 of the way up from the bottom of the door, inspect the wire harness for any signs of cracks or breaks in the wire.  Repair the damaged wires and that should take care of your PF issues.
