Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z PC Notebook

Dv6000 touchpad left mouse clicker

These are spring loaded and I'm told they snap on. It appears the part that is broken is from the button and not the spring assembly below it. Do you know where to find a part like that? HP wants $95 for the whole top-side assembly or $280+ to send it for repair.

Mouse clicker buttons not working

In Control Panel there is a mouse section, you may have the clicking disabled. if you don't and it still isn't functioning then you have a bad touchpad and it will need to be replaced.

You can also test using a USB mouse to find out if you have clicking disabled.

Samsung p510 left clicker isn't responsive. I am having to double tap the touchpad in the mean time. What is this part called on a laptop?

The left button, buy a can of compressed air attach straw and lift left button with fingernail gently, now give a few good blasts to clear out any dirt that might be obstructing the pad underneath the button, repeat if needed.

Left click is broken

Actually, first you should try taking the mouse open and cleaning the sensor clicker thing or whole mouses insides, I had similar problem before, that fixed it for me.

Other option which I haven't tried and am not sure if works, you could try to move one of the side buttons that you don't use sensor to the place of the left mouse button. This I HIGHLY advice against tho since this might break down the mouse totally.

Then again if it comes down to not properly working mouse and you have to get new one versus broken mouse and you have to get new one, you have nothing to lose.

I have a winbookj4 G731, I'm not quite sure what happen but all of a sudden my left clicker does not work anymore. Is there a fix for this?

By left clicker, I assume you mean the left touchpad button? They CAN fail, but replacement can be costly if the notebook is out of warranty. You can always buy a PS/2 or USB mouse and plug it into the back of the notebook.

Click on hp laptop dv6000

Could be a bad driver or a damaged palmrest.
Try to reinstall the touchpad driver.
Go here and click 'synaptics touchpad'. Go through the process and restart when prompted.
If it still doesn't work, it could be a damaged palmrest. Call HP at 800-474-6836 to see if your warranty covers the replacement. Otherwise, they can further diagnose the issue and refer you to service centers for parts replacement.

Left mouse key "broken"/loose

Don't "buy a service manual." These are available from the manufacturer's website. It'll show you how to disassemble the laptop. You can get a cheap touchpad replacement on ebay for cheap.
You could always just switch the left and right touchpad button properties around so the right button is left clicking.
Or you could just get a cheap usb mouse.  You can find them online for less than $10.

"sticky" mouse on compaq laptop

Unless your left mouse button has been severely damaged, it is unlikely that a loose button is the cause of your problem. More likely, it is your touchpad. Chances are your touchpad is set to click when tapped. Oversensitive touchpads can click randomly when you're dragging your finger across the touchpad.

To test this, position your cursor over a link (or other button) but don't press the left mouse button. Instead, lightly tap the touchpad itself. If the link or button is clicked, go to your Control Panel and adjust the Mouse options so your touchpad no longer clicks when tapped. It's usually a setting titled "tap to click" or something along those lines.
