How to fix Volume issues in PSP Portable

How to Fix a PSP Volume Button through Software
Check to be sure that your PlayStation Portable's AVLS (Automatic Volume Limiter System) is turned off.
Start your PSP without a game in it. Choose "Settings," then select "Sound Settings." If the AVLS option is "ON," turn it "OFF."
Check to see that your memory stick is inserted properly if the sound still does not work. This often interferes with the volume control. Remove the memory stick and reinsert it.
Perform a hard reset of your PSP if the volume still does not work. To do this, first unplug your PSP and remove any games or memory sticks. Then remove the battery from its cavity on the back. Press and hold any button for five seconds, then reinstall your battery.
Move on to hardware solutions if none of the above options work
How to Fix a PSP Volume Button through Hardware
Remove your PlayStation Portable's battery pack, any games and memory sticks. Unplug it.
Unscrew all five screws that hold the faceplate onto your PSP. The fifth is hard to locate, so find it just below the screen on the bottom edge.
Clean the button heads underneath the volume buttons with a small cloth. You should also clean the Home button nearby as this often interferes with the volume button.
Return the faceplate and screws, and test your PSP.

My battery fell out while updating my psp, now the green light comes on but the screen stays blank!

Probably because some of the data got corrupted.
To reset to factory defaults (which is what I recommend doing), turn off your psp, hold start+select+square+triangle and then turn on your psp.
It should now boot up normally but with no data on it.

I have a grey sreaker icon on my psp but only when i plug in my head phones and when i have them pluged in the sound stays as high as it can go so i cant turn it down but when i unplug them i can mess with...

It may be the type of head phones you are using. Try using a different pair. Also, check and see if your headphones have a volume control or a mute button on them. Your PSP may be at max volume but if your headphones have a seperate volume control that may cause the volume to be real low.

No sounds when i play psp games

1) Try plugging in and out the headphone jack with headphones and see if the speakers turn on
2) Make sure the volume button + is pushed until you reach max volume.
3) You may have a broken speaker from dropping the PSP which has occurred to me before.
