Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I just bought a new spectroniq home theater system. I set it up according to the manual but the rear and center speakers are not working. It doesn't seem like i set it up wrong so what do you think is the problem?
There are several settings on the receiver which can affect speaker enabling. These include speaker levels, ambience settings, balance, & fade controls. Run through the various menu commands & settings, & see if you can find one that affects the problem. If this does not solve the issue, & you have double checked your wiring, then the receiver is likely faulty & should be returned under warranty.

1 Speaker cable (center)
2 Speaker cables (surround)
2 Speaker cables (surround back)
The only things that makes them unique are the unique molded connectors. Hardly $166 worth. You could buy a 100' roll of 18-gauge speaker wire or lamp cord and 5 molex connectors at Radio Shack for a lot less.
If you took the base unit in I'm sure they could help you find a compatible connector and pins.
