Question about D-Link / RangeBooster N 650 / DIR-635 / 300Mbps / 802.11n / 4-Port / Cable/DSL Wireless Router (DIR635)
I have a dlink 635. I bought a new computer, and am trying to figure out what my "key" is so I can print off of my network capable printer. I looked on 192.068.0.1, typed in my password, but there is no, NO INFO on what the "Key", or WPA passphrase is. This is the forth time I have either purchased, or received a comp, and every time, I have to go through the same thing. I found it last time with the help of a $240,000.00 a year computer friend of mine, he is not available right now however. I am supposed to remember a 46 plus key to log onto a wireless network?!!!! D Link offers no help at all. Help me please. I do not think I will EVER buy another DLINK product again due to thier lack of ANY customer Support with this product.
"I looked on 192.068.0.1" you may have just had a typo but it's 192.168.0.1
This is a 93 page users manual.
You should download it. Anyway, i'll look up the reset instructions and get back to you.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

First off, I'd reset the router in order to gain access. On the back of the router, you'll find a little hole, that if you take a paper clip and un roll one end, you can use that to push into the hole. Hold the reset button in for 10 seconds. This resets the router back to the manufacturer's defaults. Once that is done, Open up a browser and type in the following IP address in the address line. 192.168.0.1 and the user name is admin, and leave the password blank. This will get you into the router, so you can setup your connection again.
Good Luck and dorn't forget to leave a rating.

Connect your laptop to the router using ethernet cable. Access the router's IP from the browser & get the necessary details.

If you connect the computer directly to the modem, does it work?
If that works then the modem is working.
Now connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
You will need to open the set up page of the router to check the settings of the router.
You can set up the router without the CD also.
It is very easy.

It appears your brother has changed your wireless router settings.
You can reset the Dlink back to the default settings by -
Power off the Dlink and press and hold the RESET button on the back of the Dlink and the power on the Dlink. Hold the RESET button for 5 secs. until the LEDs flash at the same time.
Connect a LAN cable from the computer to the Dlink. Open a browser and enter the Dlink's configuration URL
Default login = admin
PW = blank (just press Enter)
You can now change the admin password and set up a new passphrase (ie encryption)
