Question about Sewing Machines
When i sew, the lower thread is in huge loops underneath and gets stuck in the machine underneath where the bobbin thread is. Please help me, I was on a roll making dresses for my baby girl who is due in June. I just got the machine a week ago.
Try rethreading the top of the machine making sure you get it thru the tension wheel correctly.. General rule of thumb.
If it loops on the bottom, the problem in on the top.. Loops on the top, problem is with the bobbin.

If you are seeing the needle thread in loops and birdnests then its the needle thread you need to check. The main reason is it is not threaded through the takeup spring(the one that moves) This action is critical as it is how the thread is pulled up tight. Also make sure the needle thread is between the discs and that it has sufficient tension that you do not see it on the bottom of the material. Try this: Use two different color threads for needle and bobbin. If you see the needle color on the bottom then the needle thread is not tight enough (or in 5% of the cases the bobbin is too tight or hung up). Let me know how it does. Jay
