Have you tried removing the equalizer unit from the signal path?

Since that u swapped l/r speakers already,it might not be ur speakers,if u wanna make sure ur 901s are working, feed a 1.5 v battery power to ur speakers,,(device a connector, piece o wire ,etc) if the speakers makes ticking sound upon contact,u got continuity.now..ur eq..make sure it its working,,(see instruction manual)lastly..confirm that ur amp which is powering ur 901s is emitting sound.(hook up a different speaker)

It sounds like you may have only the 901 loudspeakers, and not also the companion 901 equalizer box. You must install the 901 equalizer properly--using the tape monitor loop of the G901 receiver. If you of not, the 901 loudspeakers will perform poorly.

My left side speaker is not working i suspect fuse blown but where is the fusebox situated on my BOSE 901series III.

There is no fuse in a 901. Have you swapped channels, speakers, bypassed the EQ to ensure it or its pathing has no part in the failure?

Bose 901 no sound

Give a little bit more info about your rig. What amp, how connected (I assume you ARE using the Active EQ in a Tape Monitor loop or between the pre-amp and amp), Both speakers failing, just one? What works? Did it ever work?

No. Active Equalization is required for the 901's and not to be used with any non-901 speakers.

Connecting Bose 901 Series VI Direct Reflecting Speakers to JVC RX-8020VBK Receiver

in order to make those speakers sound good (if they can sound good at all) you need to use equalizer box witch came with them. If your receiver does not have tape monitor loop or preamp to amp jumpers you can not use those speakers. To be honest you do not loose much... none of this stuff is any good (sorry for bad news), but if you like those speakers (I know they have big fans, even if in HI-FI world, they not consider as good) you have to change you receiver. Bose 901 v1 adding a amplifier

You may connect an additional amplifier to the Rec Out or Line Out from your existing receiver.
Please note the Bose 901 equalizer can be used to connect to one amplifier only.
