My first question would be why are you doing a system recovery what happend to your computer to make you do this? Try going into safe mode and see if you can run your virus scanner.

If you are facing this problem from the time when you have performed recovery.... The recovery was not successful.... I would recommend perform system recovery again using the disc from the manufacturer...

If the problem is severe enough, you may not be able to start the HP Desktop Recovery Manager from Windows but you can start it manually by following the steps below.

Disconnect all peripheral devices and power on the computer.
Press the F11 key after the computer first powers on to start the HP Recovery Manager.

Follow the on-screen instructions to back up recoverable files on the hard drive to an external drive or media.

Seagate dash board will not interface with the hardware. The message says that it needs to be reloaded. The unit had been working for about 3 months and then stopped.

try other usb port, or other computer and see whether the hdd is detected. If still not, try to go to device manager ( http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000833.htm ), and then assign a drive letter to the hdd. After that, try to access it from Computer, if not able to access it, format it (use quick format) and then use asoftech data recovery program to recover your files. you can download data recovery program from

How do I access the recovery partition on my systemax pc.

These are usually accessed in one of three ways:
At startup, you may get a prompt to press F11 for recovery (or something similar).
You may also have a menu item in the programs that lets you run system recovery.
Finally, you may have a system repair CD that when used as a boot device will allow you to access the system recovery options.

I had it wiped from a virus a month ago. It hasnt been working very well since, it keeps shutting down, i keep restarting it and keeps shutting down. I have just left it alone shut off for at least two...

Attempt to restart the computer to get it to start up normallly.

If this does not work then you may have to install new windows to correct the issues the virus may have caused.

Go to http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd and DL Hiren's BootCD 12.0. Burn the .iso to a cd-r or dvd-r. Make sure you go into the BIOS and change your DVD drive to be the 1st thing to boot. You should be able to boot to the cd and there is a Password recovery program built into Hirens. :)

How do i access recovery mode on eMachines W3052

Not sure that this is what you need, but should work. If you have Windows OS, try pressing F8 when booting. A menu will be given on the screen. Will have to choose SAFE MODE and when windows loads go to START MENU-PROGRAMS-ACCESSORIES-SYSTEM TOOLS and choose SYSTEM RESTORE
