You need to have the mobile unlock You can do this online at www.mobile2mobile.net or www.unlockitnow.com or take the phone to a mobile center or tech to have it unlock for a fee, unlocking is not a free service.

Hi,

A restriction code or subsidy code is numeric code (password) that prevents a user from accessing certain technical settings of a phone. It is specifically designed to prevent a phone from being reprogrammed to work with a different carrier (service provider).

This is what is usually meant when a phone is referred to as "locked". There are also "unlocked" phones that can be reprogrammed to work with a different carrier.

The reason for this system is the way phones are often sold. Many phones are sold below cost, (at a loss to the carrier,) with the expectation that the money will be recouped in the cost of the monthly service plan. The up-front loss that is later recouped is called a Subsidy.

Unlocked phones are ususally much more expensive than locked phones, because there is no subsidy to offset the cost.

You should ask the operator for the restriction code or subsidy code, so that you can use it with other mobile

Please leave me comment, if you need further assistance

For this to work financially for the carrier, the user must not buy the phone and then use it with a different carrier. The MSL makes that nearly impossible.

I need help with my motorola w510, it needs a subsidy code

if you no longer are locked into a service agreement then the carrier who provides you service must furnish you with the subsidy code. I know this to be true because my daughter wanted a new cell phone and I bought here an expensive model. She gave me the old phone and since I have no obligation to the carrier, I called them and explained the situation and they gave me the subsidy code which unlocked the phone so I could use it on my carrier network which is different from hers. The phone she gave me is a motorola razr v3 and now it is mine and it is unlocked.

My second hand motorola Razr v3x phone needs subsidy code

http://www.cell-unlock.com/motorola-razr-v3x-unlock.htm is one I found you can find many just by googling unlock codes for whatever phone model you have. Some are as cheap as $1.99 some are up to $20 but read and make sure they are verified so you don't pay someone that doesn't help you. Most of them are honest companies, you can pay by credit, debit or paypal and have code in 20 minutes max.

Subsidy password

A subsidy password is an unlock code. Phones are usually locked to the original carrier and a subsidy password must be entered to use a different carriers SIM card. Its safest to obtain this from the original carrier. There are a lot of websites out there that can help you inlock the phone as well. Just be careful. If the wrong unlock code or subsidy password is entered too many times the phone will be locked to the original carrier permanently.
