Region free code samsung

Unless you bought a DVD for multi-region(very difficult to find), most especially without the remote, you will not be able to change the region code. These firmware changes are generally uploaded by inserting a disc with the firmware on it. These units are manufactured this way with firmware(software) downloaded, or imbedded within the Microprocessor(computer or memory) and not be changed. I live in germany and want to play dvd,s from Australia, Pioneer DV-360 from german store

Most DVD players I've seen are either multi-regional or one-region units. The DVD player you bought might be a one-region device. I'd check on that first. If it is, then you'll only be able to play DVD's made for that particular region. If it is multi-regional, look in the manual or go to Pioneer's website to possibly find the codes.

RESET APPEARS ON DVD PLAYER

You may have accidentally activated the reset on the unit. This is done when you hold down the FFW button on the front of the unit without any disc inside.

All you need to do is turn off the unit and turn it back on. If the word RESET still appears, get the remote control and press 1. It should work fine after that.

How to change region codes from only 4 to 2 & 4

1) Turn on the player with no disc in the tray
2) Press the Open/Close button to open the tray
3) Press the info button, the firmware version shows up (mine was 080220.13.B.1080PXKEG)
4) After the version info disappears, close the tray again by pressing the Open/Close button
5) At this point, it will show "no disc" at the top. Press the Info button again, and this will disappear.
6) Now type the code that applies for your region (R4 is 76884). A '4' will briefly show up at the top left corner
7) Now press 9, and 9 will show up in the top left corner
8) Power off the player, and turn it on again. You'll have a multi region player

Enjoy

Multi region code

This is not possible without bypasssing/cracking the firmware on your DVD player. your player will generally allow 3 changes to the region code. If you have not changed yet, you may do so within the DVD player's setup options.

Multi region for CH DVD 300

There's a tricky process to follow with the remote control to set the region code. It is: -Open the player. -Remove any DVD. -Close the player. -Power off the player. -Wait for 30+ seconds -Power on the player. -Press Menu,1,9 on the remote [this frequently takes a few tries]. -When the region screen appears, press enter to change region (Every time you press enter, the region code on the screen will increment by 1). -When the proper region code is displayed, press Return. -Open the player. -Insert DVD. -Close the player. -(Maybe just my player) If the player doesn't start the DVD, repeat Open/Close until the DVD starts. If it still doesn't start, power off for 10 minutes. Good Luck!
