The start sign does not show up when power is turned on with AR

Pokeman diamond works fine when not in action replay, but the start sign does not come on when the pokeman game is connected to action replay. All the codes seem to have downloaded into the system.

Hi, this is a software fault. the necessary software data needed to achieve action replay seems to be corrupted. i would advise removing the game cart and draining all power from the unit. let stand for five minutes without any power. this will reset the main board inside this unit. after the reset, install the batt once more and power up. you will also need to reinstall the codes as well. this should fix this issue. if not, i have another solution.

ok, is this the only game that reacts this way when played or, dose every game have this sort of malfunction?

Ok, i was afraid of that. The internal circuit board programming is corrupt. If this is occurring with every game used, its definatly a core issue that can only be corrected by a certified Nintendo service tech. I recommend shipping this unit back to the manufacture for this repair.they will simply replace and reprogram the core script that is embedded within the micro board. If you have just recently purchased this unit and, you have it under warranty, this repair should be free. its a non user fault.

If the two units were purchased from the same retail store, this may be a bad production run. the manufacture assembles many units at a time and will regularly mass ship them in blocks. It wouldn't be unusual for the two units to have the same error or, program fault.

May Action Replay Is driving me nuts!

I use to have this problem the second time I restarted my Action Replay, so I reset it one more time and it worked. To restart an Action Replay by pressing L+R+A+B+Select+Start while the screen turns white after waiting a while after turning on your Nintendo DS.

Action replay for NDS and Pokemon Diamond

I dont know how this worked but for me i had loaded every single cheat at once, that seemed to be the problem. once i put down only one or two cheats it worked fine.also know that some cheats are scams and wont harm your ds game but make the screen turn white and unable to load. be careful if you get the walk anywhere cheat you could get lost and the game would crash. to activate most cheats you press L+R but for some it is different and it will tell you what to do. my favorite cheat is this one:

94000130 fdff0000
b21c4d28 00000000
b0000004 00000000
94000130 feff0000
00000890 01ed0001
d0000000 00000000
da000000 00000892
dc000000 00024620
c0000000 0000000b
d7000000 00000000
dc000000 00000006
d2000000 00000000
it allows you to obtain 493 master balls. if you wanted a mew you would throw out 342 masterballs then hold L while walking in grass. i got 342 by subtracting 151 (mews number) from 493. the pokemon will be the level of the surronding pokemon in the grass. good luck and hope this helps

AR says 'insert game cart', when a game is already inserted...

I have this problem too and I am trying to find a better way to fix this, but here's a simple solution so far:

1. Put in your AR and go the the code menu for you game.
2. Select any codes you want to use.
3. Take out the AR and insert the game.
4. Press the START icon that should now be showing.

NOTE: If the game being played is reset or you used Soft Reset the codes turn off.

My AR says my pokemon diamond has a different code then usual

Same thing happened to me, the problem could be that the game code was entered wrong into the Action Replay, there are a few things you could do about it. You can take out you Action Replay Code Manager CD and delete the game and re-enter it. Or if you don't have the Code Manager CD, go into the internet and look up the code for Pokemon Diamond Version, and fix it on your Action Replay.

Good Luck!

You have a bad cheat or a wrong cheat enabled. That is why it's not working. Just disable that cheat and it should work fine.

The action replay does not read pokemon diamond when i put pokemon diamond in. when i put pokemon diamond in, it doesnt know that there is a game in the action replay slot

You are using an outdated videogame on an up-to-date videogame modifier, the AR cannot read the Vector Graphic of the game because the newer games are read via laser transistors, how to solve this? Go to Datel's home website and you can purchase a software upgrade to your AR that will read any DS game, this costs $49.95. If this is not a good option for you, be sure you fully understand how a product works before you buy it. A good shopper will spend anywhere from 10-12 weeks researching before making their purchase

My ar ds doesn't work anymore

I suggest you go to the store where you bought the action replay card and ask the Costumer Service for help. They might give you a replace, and if the replace doesn't work, then it just doesn't work for your Pokemon game. My cousin had the same problem. He bought one of those replay cards and tried one of my  Nintendo D.S. games. It didn't work. When he tried it on his games it worked perfectly, and just 2 of my games it didn't work. Hope this helped !!!!  :D  :]

Action Replay Problem

The problem is that the games or the ds action replay game slot is unfunctional. If it is the AR, just start up the action replay and eject it. Then put the game in, and start playing. To enter codes, leave the AR in and enter the codes. after you enter codes, the AR will save atomaticly.

Action replay problems

Try resetting the hardware by following these steps: 1/ With the console powered off, hold A+B.
2/ Power up the console while still holding A+B.
3/ As soon as the Nintendo screen is displayed, before our screen stating this product is not endorsed by Nintendo, press and hold Start and Select while keeping hold of A+B.
4/ Continue to hold these buttons until the Main Action Replay screen is displayed, then release. Your product is reset, and will accept codes once more.
I do not have credit. these instructions were from codejunkies.com (creators of AR). then try uploading them on the computor.
