I have an MDA and I'm trying to put mp3's on the mini sd card and play them. The phone recognizes the sd card, but i cant play them. It adds files to the media library, but the files don't show up in the library. I know the sd card works beacause its the third or fourth one I'm using. Any suggestion?

So on your Mini SD you need to make a folder named MUSIC. Then you just put ur music into it. After that place the card back into the phone.
Next on the phone go into the start menu and into the Tools menu. On there press file explorer. From here you can view all files on the phone. From there go onto storage card and in there select music. That will show all the music files. To import the music into the WMP library go into Windows Media Player from your programs list. Once in WMP press men and then press update library. This process could take any where from 30 mins. to an hour. once that is done you got it working
The only way the music can be played on a cell phone is if it is in mp3 format. you also have to list the songs individually (they cannot be separated into folders). to listen to the music you should have some sort of music player on the phone that will play the songs.
Blast slot with compressed air, especially if you use phone without the blank in thus mentioned slot for it has no cover.
If this has no affect, than it is a hardware problem. Go to a Cingular store that has someone that knows the phone, I'd call ahead.
Check the online manual, maybe.
