Question about Brother MFC 7420 All-In-One Laser Printer
The only time i've seen the drum affect paper feeding is if paper jams in the drum unit. i would use your current drum until print quality decreases to an unacceptable level. it will not shut down, and you will not see a "change drum message." if your paper feed problem is centered around the cassette/paper pickup area, you can try cleaning your rollers with water and a soft rag, and also make sure your rear paper stopper in cassette isn't pressing too tightly against the rear of paper stack. best to leave 1/8" gap, otherwise paper will not lift properly to the rollers.
