Question about Intermatic Malibu 300W Power Pack Transformer ML300RTW
The timer won't work. I can manually turn on/off lights. Are there simple checks I need to do before replacing the tranformer?
bernie I have two Malibu transformers. One I set the time to what it is now and moved the pegs to the times I need. No problem
The other one I did the same but the lights stayed on.
I can only turn them off by unplugging the unit. However it is keeping the correct time.
I discovered that I hadn't turned the manual switch to off on the one that wasn't working properly.
Now they both work fine. The instructions that come with the Malibu Transformer is not easy to understand and it does not go into enough detail. There isn't a trouble shooting section which would help.

If it is keeping time try moving the stops. If it is not keeping time the motor is probably burned out. These transformers don't have a lot of serviceable parts to them.
