Question about Nokia 6600

3 Answers

My husband used his SIm card in my Nokia 6600 for a couple of days when his phone had a problem. Now, the phone refuses to recognize his number from the phone book. I have put his number on the Phone card phone book as well as the Sim Card phone book, but it still treats his number as an unknown. Any idea why?

Nokia 6600 slide pin code please

Sorry its a long list , but have included everything.Just pick out what you need... The default security code for Nokia2_bing.gif is 12345.
SIM pin code:
This is a pin code that locks the sim card2_bing.gif until you enter the correct code. This protects your account, even
if your sim is put into another handset2_bing.gif. To reset it you need the PUK code...
Pin Unlock Code (PUK)
If you miss keyed (or forget) your SIM PIN code, and enter the wrong one 3-5 times in a row, the sim will lock up, and you'll need to enter the unlock code to release it. You should ask your
Network Service Provider for this code when you need it. Don't try to guess it, because after a few wrong guesses, the SIM card will be permanently disabled. The PUK code was printed on the plastic card that your SIM card was attached to.
Phone Security Code:
This locks the handset, as opposed to the sim card. You can also set some handsets2_bing.gif to only accept a "new" sim if the phone security code is entered.
Master Reset Code
Sometimes known as the Master Code, this allows you to unlock a handset if you have entered the Security
Code wrongly too many times.
Which is the one that you want?

My phone model is Nokia 6600.It was accidentally got wet and not working now.I just like ti retrieve the stored information including phone book.

You can take the sim card out of your phone and use it another phone. Or have your carrier swab the information to a different phone.

If it is a CDMA phone, take it to the service provider and ask them to transfer it to their computer and put it on your USB flash drive or your new phone. If you are using a SIM card (GSM phone) you can transfer the numbers to the SIM card using the phone menu and place the SIM card in the other phone. With a SIM card reader, you can download the information to your computer.

Why when i format my memory card itsay eror ocur operation cancel

it should be possible that some type of virus occour in your phone memory so firstly plz format your mobile with putting this code. but plz. remove your mmc card and sim card before doing this and keep a phone book number back up in your sim card because during formatting your entire contact details and images and messages were deletd. code is *#7370# and password is (nokia by default) 12345. only type this code in your mobile fone. after that plz. format your mmc card with a help of virus free computer after that put mmc card in tha mobile. thanks

How to find lost contacts from Phone Book?

You can retrieve them only if you did a backup of your phone to your PC before you did a reset. If not they are gone for good. Not the ones on your SIM card they will still be there.

I can not make a call it says fail! using my nokia 6600

If this is a gsm phone, try the sim card in another known working phone that has service with your carrier. If you still can't make a call, the SIM card has failed (it happens, I've seen it). If the call goes through, phone is most likely a paperweight.
