Re: operation manual

More specifically, you could try this link.

It is HP's download page for the manuals.

Also, if you go to http://www.hpcalc.org they have tons of programs, manuals, support, and tricks and tips for all of the HP calculators.

Hope this helps! Keep us posted!

You may download the manual and more from here. You'll also probably want to go through the training guides here.

I am sorry to say but the calculator does not handle Base-N calculations. It only has three calculation types :General (basic) COMPutations, Standard deviation calculation, and regressions.

For the basic functions it is exactly like any calculator. Press keys to enter a number, press an operation symbol (+, -, x , /) then the equal sign.

For the more advanced functions and functionalities I am afraid you will have to consult the manual. The appendix has examples for each type of advanced calculations.

The 20s is a "reverse polish notation" calculator. If you want to find 5x6, you will use the following keystrokes: [5] [ENTER] [6] [x]

The brackets are just to show the keys. The operator (the [X] button in this case) is applied to the last two numbers in the display.

Hello,

This calculator uses RPN (reverse polish notation) not algebraic notation.

If say you want to calculate 12+13, you proceed as follows

12 [ENTER] 13 + : the claculator displays 25

Similarly

12 [ENTER] 13 x : displays 156

Also if you use a function like sinus or cosinus

12 [ENTER]**cos** displays the value (depending on the angle unit you are using).

I think you need to read a little more on the RPN before you get accustomed to this way of doing thing. The best reference is your calculator**Getting started manual.**

Hope it helps.

The self-tests are described in the manual

Self-Test . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . A-I0

Keyboard Test . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. A-ll

Port RAM Test . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. A-12

You can download the manual from hpcalc.org or the HP website.

I would personally include photos of the screen during the test (e.g. "KBD OK").
