Question about RCA P61927 61" Rear Projection Television
I have an RCA P61929 rear-projection tv, and when I power on, it stays on for however long it wants, and turns off. WHEN it turns itself on, it usually has sound, but NO picture. Usually, I will change the input where there is no connection (gray screen), then turn the tv back on and it will work for however long it wants to.. if it wants to. What are my options?I have no picture but it comes on and has sound.
Symptom shows weak electrolytic capacitors in power supply and deflection section of TV that needs to be replaced as its usual problem in rear projection TVs after few years working.
Electrolytic Capacitors got weak due to bit high temperature nearby components in circuit board like big resistors, power out transistors.
You should call qualified TV tech to get TV repaired.
