Question about Epson Stylus DX6050 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Epson RX620 yellow lines/blocks on page

When I print a document I was getting yellow lines across the page but this has now deteriorated to yellow blocks as background to the black print. I have cleaned the print heads many times with no improvement. Has anyone else had this problem and solved it? The printer is around 3 years old with light useage. Exact same issue with my printer, very light usage and only a couple of years old

Try to print the nozzle check, and see what your out put is like.
If it is not giving you a regular pattern, then have the nozzle
replaced. Most times when the nozzle is clogged with ink, you
get such out-puts. So follow this steps.
How to print the nozzle check:

1. Press the Setup button.

2. Use the arrow buttons to select Nozzle Check, then press the OK button.

3. Confirm the message on the display, then press the OK button to print the Nozzle Check.
Shown below are some examples of what the nozzle check may look like.

How to fix yellow ink showing on page after printing SX425W

Your description of the problem is so vague it would almost be impossible to provide any attempt to resolve this for you. For example - a blob of yellow, patches, lines, missing lines, perhaps a band somewhere across the page or down the page? In any event if it is, say, a thin line running across the page or down the page then that could well be a symptom of a blocked nozzle on the printhead. How often do you use the printer and do you carry out nozzle checks? Is the printer generally in very dry room conditions? So, as an attempt to resolve this for you with only the very limited description you have given, try the following. Set a page to Print to bring the Printer Dialogue Box into view. Click on Preferences and then on the Advanced Tabbed page. On that page, click on Nozzle Check and with a standard sheet of paper in the printer, click to do that check. Examine the output - there will be an example of what it SHOULD look like onscreen - meaning a specific pattern without any breaks in the lines. Even a tiny break indicated some blocking of the nozzle jets. Then use the CLEAN facility offered to clean the nozzles and repeat the nozzle check. That is the most likely cause of your problem. Come back if you still have the problem.

I have a HP3600n printer and in my document have grey shaded areas which are printing green. Any suggestions

Did you use Epson Genuine Cartridges?

ALL…. Epson & Brother Requires Genuine Epson Cartridges. !!!!!!!!
That sounds like your problem.

In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. I also Purchased a Brother. That also does not like Generic Print Cartridges. Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, Blue Brown, etc.

These printers have a CHIP that will detect if it is Generic or Genuine. When they see it’s Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors. It also will not let you print anything, if only one of the cartridges is empty.

I wanted to print only Black, and would not let me, because I did not have any ink in one of my cyan cartridges. Go figure.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, and some are refillable. Some you can refill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. Some people say some models work fine compatible, but not mine.......

I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. .

This is the only advice I can give you. If you find this helpful, pls rate me.

Thanks and Good Luck :0)

I get horizontal yellow lines all the way down the page with my epson stylus dx6000 all-in-one printer on all pages printed.

Not sure if the situation we're in is the same. I have a similar problem, but instead of yellow lines, it is pink lines. printer is Epson RX510. The lines are more prominent if the print quality mode used is best and if the document to be printed requires the affected color. Upon consultation with the printer technician, I was adviced that it is the print head which has a problem, and changing it is costly and the repair duration even depends on parts availability. With that, I just decided to use the printer just as is. Hope this info helps.

Epson Photo RX620: Printing Pink Lines

Hi,

None of these answers are accurate.  I know precisely what your problem is, and you aren't going to like what I have to say.  What you are experiencing will happen eventually to every Epson printer and there is nothing you can do about it other than to buy a new printer.  I have an Epson Stylus Photo 895 ( a 500 dollar printer in its day), which has the same issue.  I am just waiting for my ink cartridges to run out in order to buy a new one.

Endless research on google has turned up that there is no solution to this problem.  The issue you are having is with the Epson print head, which uses piezo technology.  What that means is that unlike HP or Canon printers which are thermal, piezo uses a small piezoelectrical cell to force ink out of the chamber.  It has advantages over thermal in that thermal requires a precise temperature to get ink on the page (what actually happens is that ink is heated, it forms a bubble, and the bubble bursts onto the page, hence the name BubbleJet).  Therefore, the ink has to have fairly precise thermal ink properties making it more expensive to manufacture.  Also, the ink on a BubbleJet (or HP) is wetter when it hits the page, and since the ink is heat resistant or order to properly form the bubble, the printer needs to incorporate a fast drying technology which consumes more energy.  The massive advantage of thermal is that the print head is on the cartridge, not on the printer itself; change your cartridges, get a brand new print head.  It makes cartridges more expensive, but reduces problems such as what you are experiencing.

Piezo on the other hand, always shoot ink through the same print head.  Once the head become damaged over time, the piezoelectric cell is no longer accurately pushing out the ink, and there is nothing you can do about it.  If you are lucky, it is only dried ink in the print head, but I can almost guarantee you that it is not.  Dried ink can be cleaned by repeated head cleanings, even manual ones involving rubbing alcohol.  However, I know that those pink lines are caused by the deterioration of the cell, and cannot be fixed.  If if were only dried ink, you wouldn't be limited to just pink lines on the page, you would see other colours.  If the cell is not doing its job, the lines are always pink (often called magenta when you google this problem).  The solution is to acquire a new print head.  Unfortunately, the cost of replacing an Epson print head is IDENTICAL to the cost of a new Epson printer.

So basically you have no choice, you need to buy a new printer.  Were I you, I would purchase a new thermal inkjet printer so that you get a new print head with every cartridge.  Look around before you buy to find out exactly how much the cartridges will cost, and then you will know which brand to buy.  Although piezo *can* make for a cheaper printer at the outset, Epson simply charged what HP and Canon do for their replacement cartridges because that is what people are used to paying, but you really do get more in a thermal inkjet catridge.

Sorry for the bad news,
DD.
