I have a lg 32cm television, av has been working perfectly since I purchased it about 4 or 5 years ago, but when I went to watch a dvd tonight I switched my tv to av.. my dvd menu come up for about 30 seconds then it went back to the blue screen. Im wondering if there is a way to fix this?

- The dvd player turns on and the menu comes up, I might try different av cables and see if that is the issue

Did the dvd start, if so can this be a bad dvd player. It could need cleaning. Have you tried another device, like vcr or another dvd
