Question about AEG D5701-4 Electric Double Oven

Can I fill a gap between the oven and Housing Unit with wood

We have just purchased a double oven AEG D5704-4 and there is a gap of about 15 mm between the top of the oven and the Housing Unit. Am I able to put a piece of wood in the gap to improve the appearance without impairing the functions of the oven.

I have a built in single oven do i need to change the wire when i put in a double oven

In order to answer this question we need to see the power consumption that you will have.

So in general if you use just one of the 2 ovens at any given time (not parallel usage), no need to change it.
But if you plan to use them both in parallel, you have to check the power consumption.
See the table attached: http://www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htm.

If you cave a cable of 0.2294 inc / 5.82676 mm (most usual case), this cable can carry up to 75Amp. So if you have a 110v power line, this is 75x110=8.2kw.
Check if the sum of your ovens are less than 8.2kw. If so, you are fine. If not, install a 2nd wire.

Feel free to ask more if you know exactly the power consumption of your ovens and the dimensions of your cable.

How can I clean the inside of my oven door? D57014 AEG double oven.

Not knowing what kind of dirt or grime is on the inside of the oven, I would recommend using one of these Whirlpool products. They all work great and they have different ones for different cleaning needs. Cleaners

My AEG competence oven is making a loud buzzing noise coming from the top fan? The food tonight was either burnt or under cooked? The buzzing is also loud when switched off/cooling down? Any ideas please.

I would suspect that the problem is caused by the external cooling fan located under the outside cooker cabinet housing, which continues to operate as the oven is cooling down if it is built in, you will have to remove it from the oven housing to access the fan

Broken glass AEG hob

Hello,
If it is just the edge of the corner glass not a lot you can do if it is broken nearer the inside be very careful as the weight of pans can cause the break to spread.Check serial no. on base of hob body the first 2 digits are the year and 3rd digit is weeks in year. For example 92800055 that would be 2009 and 28th week equals july 2009.Any AEG unit has 2years full warranty.Check and you might be able to claim new glass.Hope this helped.

Can i install a biult in oven staight into the housing or does it need some sort of heat resistant layer around the oven

Is the housing metal or wood? Metal would be better, but either is ok. The oven most likely has double insulated walls. Connect the power source and see if the outside gets hot. If it does, you can purchase a thin layer of heat and fire proof insulation.
