This my help you as it reverts you ribbon in 2007 to look like the 2003 look and feel.

Another option is to carry on using the ribbon but use this to help you get use to the feel of it.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Please give me an impact analysis of upgrading from office 20003 to office 2010. I have never used 2010 before. The organization has about 3000 users.

I maintain computer labs for about 4000 people at a university in the US. We recently made the move from Windows Office 2007 to Windows Office 2010. This move was not terribly difficult, but we have experienced some glitches now and then from the software.
Moreover, the interface for Office 2003 is much different in Office 2010. This poses a problem for users having to relearn how to do tasks that they once knew very well.
One other thing to consider is that Office 2010 uses more resources than Office 2003. If your computers are very old, then they may have problems running the software. The hardware resources utilized by Office 2010 are almost identical to the resources needed by Office 2007.
Good luck,
-Spencer

The Main Four Differences Between Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft Office...

The Main Four Differences Between Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft Office 2003
There are few differences between Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft Office 2003. As we know, some new features have been added to MS-Office 2007. The appearance has also been improved. This tips is only created for those who are not familiar with Office 2007 so that they can learn it easily.
The main four differences are;
Menu bar :
See the picture below:
d5c6c35.jpg
Ribbon :
The ribbon with a Logo in MS-Office 2007, the normal drop down menus in MS-Office 2003 has been replaced. Most people who have been using Office 2003 got confused with this since we cannot see the File Menu button where we can directly select New, Open, Save, etc. But those are still there with the ribbon. This interfaces makes us easier while using the office suite. When we click the Ribbon (Office logo) on the extreme top left corner we will see the following bottons :

XML file Format :
When we talk about Office 2003, it means .doc file extension. Now a new file format has been added called .docx. If we save any file or data in this format, we can’t read or open it using previous versions of Microsoft office. But don’t worry, there are still the old file formats as well. And we can open the previous versions file format in Microsoft Office 2007. So if you are transferring a MS office file to another user or sending it through email, it’s best to sent it as .doc so that anyone who is using any version of Microsoft Office can open and read it.

If you ever come across more differences, please leave a comment so that we can help each other better. Good luck to you all.

Who likes the new office 2007 design?

Well, not me. I pretty much hate the thing. I know that their intentions were good, but they messed up a very good tool that I enjoyed using.

I was trying to figure out a way to bypass this, as I purchased a new laptop which had an office 2007. I did not have my old office 2003 installation CD and of course I didn't want to do something illegal.

That is when I came across the following site, which made my day:

http://www.freewaregenius.com/2009/03/07/ubitmenu-use-the-office-2003-interface-in-office-2007/

There is a short and very friendly explanation to how the program works, and then you can install it in your computer. Enjoy!!

No. If the other version was uninstalled during the 2007 install, then it won't be available.

It is possible to have both installed at the same time though, so first check to find the previous version. If it is still installed, then it will stay installed after you uninstall 2007

Office 2007 key

The Home and Student trial version only ships with Word, Excel and Powerpoint where as the Professional edition comes with a whole slew of additional programs and features. In order to upgrade, or switch to the Pro version of Office 2007 out right, you are going to need additional software. Just curious, did you purchase the license from Microsoft or through a third party vendor?
