What Operating System do you have?

If you have XP (Cause it works and Vista is Garbage) then

Check your Computer Hardware Device settings to verify if your Sound Card Driver is installed to do this:

    1. - Right Click on My Computer, then Left Click on properties.

    2. - Click on the "Hardware" tab then "Device Manager"

    3. - Check to see if you have any Red or Yellow Exclamation marks or "X"'s which indicate a driver issue, and if the marks are on the "Sound, Video Game Controllers" are then we must identify your PC's Sound Card and download and install the correct driver from the internet.

Make sure that there are no conflicts with your audio device in the Device manager.

In XP:
Access the Control Panel via the start menu or My Computer.

Click on System > Hardware > Device Manager

Look for Red X or ! Icon.

Either of these will mean you should reinstall the drivers, providing the audio device has not physically malfunctioned.

Check with your Manufactures web-site to download and install the drivers necessary for your Model and version of Windows.

Let us know how that works for you,
Good Luck

My speakers wont work. It shows no sound or audio on my computer. My daughter was playing with it and got into the control panel and deleted a bunch of things and now my speakers wont work.

She may have set the sound to mute or very low that's why you can't hear anything.
Just go to Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Device Properties and tinker with every possible option that she may have changed.

I have no sound when I go to the internet to play a video.

If your sound works everywhere else, then look for the volume setting right on the video itself. Most videos online have there own volume setting and it may be muted.

Speakers hooked up to computer. Can play music through MediaPlayer but cannot get any sounds from the Internet. What should I do?

open the advanced controls on the audio tray icon or go to control panel - audio and sound devices - choose the advanced audio control option and if any are muted, unmute them and if all are unmuted then click on the menu (top left) go to options/preferences then tick all boxes save then check advanced audio again. If its still muted it may be your driver.

I jus plugged up the computer speakers and they wont even turn on .. it makes my sound stop like the speakers are plugged in but it doesnt play from the speakers

u need to be more specific, if you computer is not coming on then your speakers will in any case not give out sound....but if the PC is working and your speakers are not connected properly to the correct speaker out put jack behind the PC then also the sould will not be heard.
Change to a different output slot, check if the speaker has power, the volume is up, the volume ctrol on the task bar od Windows is not in mute,
Go to Control Panel and check for Sound and Audio Devices and check if the options are not greyed out. You should be able make changes in the Volume/Sound/Audio Tabs, else you audio card is not being detected by OS.
Further solution from me will depend on your reply.

Not getting deteected

Speakers do not get detected, they only produce sound when you play any. Reboot the PC or laptop and on shutting down and startup Windows plays its own sound. That should come through these speakers. Now go to the Sound option by clicking open the Volume icon in the system tray and check and make sure that nothing is muted by Windows. And listen to your favorite music as these are good quality speakers.

My speakers wont wo

Hi Jennifer,

When did sound work fine last time ??
Did you make any specific changes ??
Check if it is set to mute... if it is unmute it..

To unmute it-- you can click the little icon at the task bar at the bottom of your screen -- clear the box and see if it works..

If everything seems ok do the following :--

Go to control panel - click on sound devices option - see if all the options are greyed out -- if it is then you need to reinstall the sound drivers ..

You can let me know your computer model number and i'll paste a link for you so that you can download the driver...

Thanks..
