Hi,
My DVD ROM-IBM ThinkPad T42 could not read DVD disks, but it can read CD disk smoothly.
Could you help me to repair it (DVD-ROM)?
I had tried some steps to know what happened with my DVD-ROM.
_When i used a other DVD-ROM the same myself, my Laptop read DVD-disk easily. So i have thought my DVD-ROM had a trouble.
Best regards,
Le Nguyen Hoang

My dvd-rom drive will not read anything. Unfortunately I found out after I purchased Microsoft Office 2007 to load on my daughter's lap top.
Take the drive out and get the part number and look it up online on ebay or the like :-)
