Hi - My question is basic - If I have a NTSC DVR can I use an external PAL tuner to enable me to receive and record NTSC and PAL signals?

There should be an output option that you change to NTSC (on your external tuner), Dvr's are pretty "proprietary", and are very sticky about accepting non-proprietary signals. For instance, a sattelite dish dvr, will not accept these inputs, nor will their hard drives re-format or zero out.

DVD Player works only on NTSC color(NTSC Idicat on display unit).but VCD have normal color.I am tried to change color to PAL with remot controler.but it's not working.

If your TV set plays both NTSC and PAL, there shoud not be a problem, as it sets the color system automatically. If your antenna video signal is passing through the receiver however, instead of going to a VCR and then back to TV, there should be a problem there. The cable going from receiver to TV (AV1 or AV2) is the one marked as "monitor" on the receiverĀ“s rear panel.

How to install tekken 5 with out the direct installer

Part Two

Why Net-Share? What are you exactly interested in, with specific dish alignment and some needing a larger disk to receive their signals crisp and clear without interferences. Usually there are groups you can join to get lists of signal coordinates to tune to, this also means an adjustable motorized programmable dish mount, eliminating the need to scan with your receiver, it works on a memorized data base something like your TV, but like Samsung witch picks from everything it is able to register as available signals which are available on your dish alignment. Some use multiple dishes with multiple heads to receive 500+ channels. There are some manufactures who also provide multi format, NTSC & PAL on a system with abilities to receive decoded freely locked filtered signals. These are pay premium stations and cinema movie broadcasts in HD digitally enhanced broadcasted for cable providers and Casinos, also 4 & 5 star hotels.

These are undetectable to any of the providers so far, but technology is always changing month to month, you never know when unless you have a detector which registers the pulse they send out in their signal which is receiving on a system unregistered.

So expand your search if your really interest in free reception of over 3000 plus stations, also to receive PAL , the receiver unit converts to NTSC so you can see the signal, otherwise all you’ll get is sound. This technology has been around for years, mainly the European market utilizing this technology due to the massive amount of entertainment available in NTSC. Now today it is not an issue, some foreign see fist run movies before the US market can, but generally it is one giant worldwide simultaneous release.

How do I know if my Samsung TV (model TXK2554) is NTSC TV, PAL TV? I can't find the manuals.

According to published specifications, your set is equipped for the North American NTSC standard, meaning that it is not capable of receiving over-the-air broadcast signals without a digital to analog converter. Depending on the provider, you can still receive signals via cable or satellite.

Digitial reception for casio 980

You won't. Because the unit isn't likely to have an coaxial external cable input, there is no simple way to achieve this. Full-size sets not equipped for digital signals can accept the down-converted signal from a converter box that receives the digital signal and converts it to NTSC standards for older sets. Direct reception of the new signal requires an ATSC tuner and there is no way to provide that for your hand-held. It would be possible to use the output of a converter box clipped onto the antenna of your Casio and see the channels the converter box can receive but your hand-held wouldn't be very portable anymore. Sorry-

Vhf is not picking up signal, no image

Well since all TV is now broadcast in High Definition that might be why you are no longer able to tune in a station. You will need the converter box.

Convert ntsc to pal for sony bravia tv

While a modern PAL TV can display NTSC sources (namely DVD players and PAL VHS players that support pseudo-NTSC), an NTSC TV can not display a PAL source, unless it's an expensive multi-standard TV. Sorry pal, bad choice.

TV Turner Problem

The US uses a different broadcast standard than elsewhere in the world, and it is unlikely the tuner hardware will be able to receive signals properly outside of the USA. The tuner should work when plugged into a cable or satellite feed, though, I bet.

I doubt software can help this problem unless the tuner is using software defined tuning hardware, which is very rare.

It's likely to be an incompatible signal. You have PAL (UK) and NTSC (Belgium), the DVDR/VCR combo may not be compatible with PAL causing it to seem like it's not receiving any signal, when in fact it is - but not in a recognisable format. You may try and get an NTSC to PAL signal converter like this: That'll solve your problem.
