Gasoline will vaporlock. Since all gases block liquids look for a loop seal and the gas will be built up at the top of the seal. If it is indeed air look for wetting, because were air goes in liquids go out.
I got this on the wrong comment. Your deck mandrel assembly part number is 137646
Leave your deck on the tractor to hold it in place while you work
Run a heavy wire through the tie down hole on the drive pulley and tie it to the deck, so you will be able to get both the bottom bolt and top nut off.
I used the old nut and a 3 lb hammer to drive the shaft out.
Remember to shim up the pulley so the belt runs straight. Don't loose the shim, they don't give you a new one.
This works for Husquevarna, Sears, Murray, and Poulan lawn tractors.
Torque the top nut to 43 ft. lbs. and the blade bolt to 37 ft. lbs. If you don't have a torque wrench tighten it as hard as an average man can, then tighten the bottom bolt 1/8th of a turn more and top nut 1/4 of a turn more.

sounds like either the spindal bearings are shot or maybe the spindal shaft is bent. check for up and down slop at the blades. then turn blades towards each other and check that the heigth lines up. also chec the idler pully to make sure it is not slapping around.
SOURCE: hit a rock and stripped the starkey that holds the
You'll need a gear puller to remove the pully. They can be rented for a few $ at tool rental stores.
Don't try to pry or hammer it off, as this will cause more damage.

The jackshaft is damaged and the keyway snapped, causing the shaft to turn but not the blade. If you have a model number or serial number you can use it to veiw a parts breakdown on the sears website. Please rate this solution for me when you get a chance.

I don't know for sure on your mower but on many the bolt at the center of the blade is reverse threaded, so it's righty-loosey. So you will turn it clockwise to get it off. Use a piece of 2x4 to hold the blade while you turn it, try WD-40 also. Be careful because if you were turning it the wrong way you will have to push hard, and if it breaks, or the wrench slips off you can damage yourself.

You mean the engine is vibrating? It sounds like you bent the crankshaft. The cost of a new engine may outweigh your want to repair it. To be sure, take the blade off of the mower and start it up. If you still feel a vibration, then the crankshaft is no good.
