    Thanks for the fast response.

It is not obstructed by anything. The spray arm can rotate easily when I check it. It's also completely clean.

I know it doesn't rotate, because I put it in a certain angle and no matter how long the program works, it stays in the exact same position (while the upper arm changes position).

The ones in the upper tray are clean - yes - worked by the upper spray arm.

The ones facing down on the lower tray - not really.

Lower spray arm doesn't rotate and possibly doesn't get enough water.

Could it be a matter of a missing rubber ring? Because when you pull out the lower spray arm (as instructed in the manual) you don't see any rubber ring to possibly keep the water from getting out in the wrong place. Just a speculation, because I can't really see what goes on there when it's working.

Upper and lower connection should be same type of setup
missing part thus?
This sometimes is also caused by not driving in right the rack (closing properly) mating the connections tight. My old Bauknecht had this little problem.
Unfortunately I have no manual with parts drawings.
Still warranty?
Parts shop nearby?
Upper connection does have rubber ring or is a conical seal?
And when you fill the basket, no teaspones or such dropping too far down? My error many times.........

Sounds like the pump that pushes the water up to the spray arm is going south on you.
Check to see if the pump or any of the piping, or sprayer arm jets are clogged.

Why are the items on bottom rack not being cleaned properly

If is clean dishes in the upper basket, I conclude that the pump produces enough pressure what means that the lower spray arm for some reason does not rotate and because that washing result is bad. Before washing I would check the lower spray arm rotates freely and after that open the door during washing and check if the lower spray arm rotates. Sometimes, the holes in the spray arm clog and disable turning which leads to poor washing results in the lower basket.

My Amana Softsound 2 isn't getting dishes clean - the lower arm doesn't rotate. We cleaned around and under the arm as much as possible, got some gunk out from under, but still not rotating, so...

Check the nozzles of the arm themselves. if you found lots of gookl there maybe some inside the arms blocking the spray holes which cause it to spin

The bottom washer arm does not turn or squirt water

Hi Matt.
The lower housing underneath the lower wash arm may still have something blocking the water passages.

If the spray arm is clean and it freely rotates try lightly pressing down on the wash arm and then rotate it. Your checking to see that when water is applied to the spray arm it forces the arm down against the lower housing tower and hopefully does not lock up. If it does lock up while pressing down and rotating obviously you need to find out what the cause is.

You may have to remove the lower wash arm housing and clear the debris from the water passages. Once the passages are clear it should work fine.

Thanks for using FixYa,

Kelly

Lower spray arm siemens aquastop dishwasher doesn't rotate

Sprayers require water to pass through the jets to provide motion to the arms.

Suggestion;

Remove the sprayer from the machine and look for blockages. (Removal should be easy, at it is expected that the user will need to clean the jets occasionally; If you have any problems removing it, consult your manual).

Upper Spray arms not spraying

Took apart again and found the stepping motor which diverts the water from lower to upper spray arms to be burnt out. I was able to manually set the diverter to the correct position so the dishwasher works but I am waiting for new parts to properly repair the problem.

LG LDS5811WW Low pressure out of spray arms

On the LG LDF xxxx dishwasher family, the Vario feature uses a motor/check valve to switch between "full power" cleaning from _either_ the lower or the upper spray arms, never at the same time. So, not seeing the upper arm spin during the lower arm spinning is standard operating procedure.

But back to your problem. Step one would be to remove the filter assembly again and make certain that there is nothing (debris, broken glass) blocking the white areas where the check valve rotates to switch between upper/lower spray arms. A blockage there ~could~ cause impotent spraying/cleaning.

If there is no blockage and the impeller remains in good shape, suspect a failing wash pump motor. Try to isolate the noise to that motor.

Watch for error codes on the display and report back what you find, OK?

Good Luck!
