I have a blackberry, how do I get my Internet going? It's on yellow and Can't get my Internet To work? Tried going to

I assume you have a BB data plan, are emails coming in like normal?

What OS are you running on your phone?

have you tried clearing the browser cache?

pull the battery for 30 seconds and put it back in, see if that helps.

Is it every web page or just specific ones?
  • Run BES-required Internet software without BES!
  • Instant Messaging, AIM, ICQ, MSN (Verichat, WebMessenger, BerryVine, IM+, etc.)
  • Full HTML web browsing ability (Reqwireless, BlackBerry Browser, etc.)
  • IRC chatting (virca, wlirc, etc.)
  • telnet/ssh (Idokorro, etc.)
  • No BES needed! No MDS needed!
Easy 1-2-3 Instructions:
  1. Upgrade your BlackBerryOS
You need BlackBerry with OS 3.8 or later. If you have an older version of BlackBerryOS, please Download BlackBerryOS 4.0 and install it on your BlackBerry first.
  2. Configure your BlackBerry & Your Carrier
On the BlackBerry handheld, go to Options -> TCP
There is a new option in BlackBerryOS 3.8 and later. Then fill in APN with the provided APN listead in the below post, that is appropriate for your carrier. If no username or password is provided, leave these blank. If only a username is provided, then leave in the password. Also, ignore the Gateway IP address, unless your Blackberry specifically has a textbox to enter the IP address in. "APN" means "Access Point Name". Once you have saved the APN information, you should reboot your BlackBerry by removing and reinserting the battery.
  3. Run your BlackBerry Internet Software
Once you have filled this information, your Internet applications should work on your BlackBerry. TCP/IP makes Internet software work, including chat software: Verichat, WebMessenger, IRC, Telnet/SSH, Web browsing, etc.
Occasionally, some applications on the BlackBerry need to have the gateway or APN information entered directly into them. This is not common.

How to rest a blackberry 8310

If you go to Settings>Options>Security Options>General Settings and then press the menu button to the left of the trackball, you should see Wipe Handheld as an option in the menu. This will wipe all data from the handheld and will, for the most part, restore the handheld to the factory settings. If you are/were set up on a BES, it won't remove the IT Policy.

Hi, Sounds like your browser setting are messed up. The privicy setting and/or security settings are set too high. Maybe thats why you can't get on FB. If your friend and son where playing a game online they need settings to be changed. Most games are like that. Hope that helps

How do I remove an IT Policy from a Blackberry Curve? This is a personal BB that use to be on a BES server.

goto Options > Security > General Settings > menu > Wipe handheld.

its the only way i am aware of to delete a policy, otherwise, the secure policy that gets deployed to a handset could be deleted easily and a password permanently removed by a thief. kind of makes the point of the policy redundant in that case.

Im unable to use internet on my blackberry 8100 with airtel connection

Check whether you are getting EDGE/GPRS in upper case.Have you activated BB services,if you have already activated BB services there may be a network issue also and check whether there is a check mark in blackberry internet services(Menu-Options-Security Options-Firewall-BlackBerry Internet Service)if there is a check mark on it remove it.If you are using BIS check the default browser is Internet Explorer of if you are a BES user default browser is Blackberry Browser.Menu-Options-Advanced Options-Browser-Press menu-change Options-select the browser according to the service.

I have forgotten the password to enter my blackberry 8700f. Can this be bypassed?

No, there is no way to recover it. Your only choice is to let it fail 10 times and it will erase your data. Then restore it from your last backup. If your BlackBerry is on a BES ( BES BlackBerry Enterprise Server ), the BES Administrators could possibly send out a password reset command with a temporary password to your device. If this is the case, contact your internal Help Desk or BES Admin.
