Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Also the shut down takes ages,I am running Win XP Pro with SP3 and all windows updates on a Core2Duo 1.8GHz,4GB Ram,320GB HDD,DVD Writer and both a LAN(Ethernet based broadband modem) and wireless modem. The system has slowed down.I am using Trend Micro internet security and also Threatfire and regularly run update and scan. Please advice what to do.
I had this XP problem with Norton recent after SP3 got on.
Clean install and no antivirus, straight afterwards a bootable CD with SP3 then I replace already removed Norton with Avast virus scanner.
Superfast, all problems I ever had gone. Likely the scanner.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
