Hi,
This is a common Microsoft CD/DVD driver error. Error code 39 is similar to other error codes (19, 31, 32, and 41). MS is aware of this problem and has a repair instruction page at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060. You have to do registry editing to perform the necessary corrective measures.
