Question about Daewoo DSP4210GM 42 in. Plasma Television
I just "inherited" a plasma from my boss. He said he thought it was junk because someone had laid it down when they delivered it. The screen comes on clearly sometimes, other times it is scrambled. The "scrambled" picture really doesn't follow any particular pattern. I know that the machine is out of warranty, but was wondering if it's something I should look into fixing.

SOURCE: PINK SCREEN ON DAEWOO PLASMA TV
Sounds like your panel might be going out or a faulty video card. This is the first time I have heard of a solid pink screen on a plasma. Usually this happens on LCDs, though they sometimes go white and stay white, which does signal a bad panel. tv needs repair

Attempting the solder fix is a big undertaking, gaining access to the components is a MAJOR undertaking, and probably not worth your while.
If it is simply one line you might try the baseball Bat fix....
In reference to the "basebal Bat fix" it works on occasion by using percussive force to realign the ribbon cables.
DO NOT use a baseball bat, but use a rubber mallet and with the power off tap gently directly above and below the offending line.
Its worth doing this if yo cannot live with the line.
If you can live with it, leave well enough alone!

SOURCE: Daewoo Plasma dp-42sm
Just answered this on a different one. I have the Daewoo Plasma Digital Dream model dp-42sm, My dads tv expert friend looked at it and told us the ysus board was out. I got on ebay and bought the item from a store for 125 dollars used tested good with 12 dollar shipping, I put the part in myself it was very simple just take your time dont try and rush you have to take the actual bar the stand hooks onto off and the 2 boards going into the ysus board. It fixed the problem and is still in working order im using it now as the computer monitor.
