Question about One For All URC-4021 Remote Control
We just purchased a Samsung HD tv LN52A860. We have Dish Network satellite using their 722 dlv receiver. There are two tv's programmed on this receiver. The secondary remote works fine, however the main remote (5.3 IR 148785) on the Samsung tv will only turn on the tv and the volume. If left on for about 25 minutes it will then work the other functions. We now have to "warm up the tv" every time we want to watch it. Can you help? This is the second receiver with different remotes and they both have had similar problems. Thank you.
It seems the new, larger tvs these days put out too much light and it interferres with the remote signal. Simply put a post-it note or tape a piece of paper over the lights on the receiver and you have an affordable and instant fix. This isn't a good looking fix and I would be upset if the set were in a living room. Luckily ours is in the family room downstairs.

I had the same problem with my 47" vizio LCD. The infrared interference interacts at the same frequency as the Dish network receiver thus blocking the signal from getting through. I thought decreasing my backlight to the lowest level would fix it but it made it worse. If I put the backlight up all the way the nterferences goes away in less than a minute now. Sometimes 10+ minutes before. Hope this helps.

Simple fix. just call dish network and tell the you need a UHF remote upgrade. It is a free upgrade for customers with samsung TVs. This is a common issue with many new TV sets that use florecent bulbs.

We would be happy to help you with getting your DISH Network remote to control your RCA TV. We're going to start by pressing and holding the TV button located on the top of your remote until all mode button back lights come on, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter the codes for your RCA TV here are some of the codes we currently have: 503, 627, 633, 725, and 505. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the code works try several different functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the TV. Remember that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this is the case, try the other codes listed for your RCA TV until you find one that is compatible with it.
We hope this helps and thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!
