Question about Whirlpool 25.6 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with In-Door-Ice Dispensing System

1 Answer

Doesn't cool When our refrigerator is all the way inside the built in it doesn't cool.  We pull it half way out and it cools perfectly fine.  I am guessing we need to find a way to cut the built in closet for a big vent, but I want to make sure there's nothing wrong with the refrigerator first.

Make sure the condensor fan is not blocked, or that the cardboard back/bottom piece isn't wrinkled and pushing up into the fan. the fan is located behind the cardboard panel on the back side of the unit, rt side.

Refrigerator is not cooling

Hello there,
If your refrigerator is not cooling, but is running perfectly, you will have to test the defrost thermostat, defrost heater and the defrost timer, when you test them, replace the faulty part and it will work perfectly fine.
If that does not solve the problem, then check the door switch. Make sure you check the refrigerator if it is still having gas in the cylinder. If there is no gas the refrigerator will be working perfectly fine but will never get cool.
Would be glad to know if this information was helpful to you. All the best Elect_Comp

Kenmore 106.536323000 S/S: Not Cooling Enough

YOU HAVE A DEFROST PROBLEM. FROST HAS BUILT UP SOMEWHERE AND THE FAN CAN'T BLOW PAST THE BLOCKAGE. OR ONLY A SMALL SECTION OF YOUR COILS IN THE FREEZER ARE COOLING DUE TO A CLOGGED FILTER OR BAD COMPRESSOR. PULL THE BACK COVER FROM INSIDE THE FREEZER AND LOOK AT THE COILS. THEY SHOULD HAVE A LIGHT FROST AVER THE ENTIRE COIL.IF IT IS A BIG BLOCK OF ICE YOU HAVE A DEFROST PROBLEM.

It should be OK and not 06 as you mentioned. Please have a look again and reconfirm it. It says that the unit is tested and in good working condition a certification from the final check point of the unit at the factory.

The failure of cooling is due to refrigerant leak and I wonder whether you have moved the refrigerator from the original place of installation. During moving the fridge the condenser coil would have been touched and resulted in refrigerant leak and resulting in poor cooling or no cooling at all. This also would have taken place over a period of time and not instantly on a fine morning. By recharging the refrigerant your unit should cool perfectly.
