There is no real way to get satellite signals into your PC. There are many companies on the net that are selling software that supposedly does this and they are all a scam. Getting cable is easy because your cable connects to the TV tuner card you installed and then converts this into the various channels. Satellite tuners work completely different.

S video output Does not work on my Gateway GM5472 computer

Here are some things to try...

You may need to install some software and/or drivers for this hardware to work. Look on the manufacturers web site.

I see that the card goes into your PCI-Express slot. Is it intended to power both your monitor and a TV? If so, and the software/drivers are already installed, you may need to open a configuration/settings window or a control panel in order to redirect the video signal to the NTSC port.

It may be that you need to enable the card in your computers BIOS settings.

Windows Media Center can't detect a TV signal from a Sabrent card

If you have hd card, it might be your cable company not providing hd signal. If you have analog card, and have HD signal that will cause it too.

Toshiba sattelite 1905-s301 with broadcom 802.11g wireless mini pc card does not see my wireless router

The system's chipset has compatibility problems with a number of WiFi cards - not just Broadcom but also Intel, Atheros... etc. You installed a card, loaded drivers, and it sees no signals.

Nothing left to do but to get a different card and try again. This following card will, for sure, work: MPC13A-20/R. It's an 802.11b card but ... don't laugh ... it's a little speed demon when installed in one of these 1905's.

Laptop doesn't recognize a wireless card.

You have to install the correct Vista driver for the 'type' of card you are using. It could be an Intel, Atheros, Realtek etc
Have a look here:

You could download Belarc Advisor, which will tell you a lot about your computer and the hardware that it is using, including your wireless card type. Download and install the appropriate driver from that site and install it and reboot.
Hope this helps:)

No signal to monitor

  1. Verify card is seated properly.
  2. Check bios settings. ie. disable onboard video, enable PNP OS installed, enable "assign IRQ to vga", disable shadowing and caching, enable passive release, enable delayed transaction, vga boot sequence: AGP, set graphics aperture size to 128MB, disable turbo modes.
  3. Verify power supply is at least 350 watts.
  4. Reboot into safe mode (press F8 right after the BIOS POST screen and before the windows loading screen) and use the program, Driver Cleaner Pro to remove Nvidia video driver remnants. Don't select all of the options, just the Nvidia driver and the plain ATI selection.
  5. Verify the monitor cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the computer.
  6. Verify that you have connected the cable to the vga port on the card and not the onboard vga port. (I'm not implying that you are dumb or anything like that, but sometimes even the best of us, overlooks the simple things... especially me! LOL)
  7. Verify the monitor cable is good.
  8. (Last but not least), try using another monitor to test. (Could be an incompatibility with the monitor.)

im running Vista Ultimate - I get the same problem. Just try to install/re-install the driver. It's how I got it to work, but after every connection you gotta do it again. My guess is this camera isn't Vista certified. You can always buy a memory card and use that for the pictures.
