Below the line colors are not proper

If you mind the lines and if they are too big replacing the screen will be very expensive and there is no way to repair your current display. The way I see it if you pay more 65% of the current value of your TV is too much. You may be able to find a new TV for as much as the repair cost.
SOURCE: Dark horizontal lines on Sony KLV-26HG2 LCD TV screen
Hello,
If you can fix it by yourself, there is a problem in horizontal circuit panel, you need to check that in series because the part appear visbly good but when tested by the exact tester you register busted. that should be replaced immediately. Check also the vertical panel parts of the circuit. but if hard you do the job you may consult the service center of your TV or the vendor of the TV.
ps. please don't rate me if you are not convince of my suggestion.
best regards, melnavz

we have the same exact tv and it is not even a year old. we are told that it is the display panel and it is a well known problem with this tv. we were also told that there is a shortage of these parts. they had 283 on order, but only received 35. you need to call sony and tell them that you have this problem. they should warranty this for you even if your tv is 3 months past the warranty period. since this is a well known problem with this tv, keep on them.
Testimonial: "It in fact was a part of the lcd panel...the t-con board. I was able to research it and bought a box of parts off of a tv like mine and fixed it. Ron"

Horizontal lines are relatively rare problem in LCD TVs.
The likely problematic areas are:
1) The LCD itself (the micro ICs embedded into the LCD panel structure); that doesn't sound likely based on what you say, but it's not completely impossible. The bad news is it's mostly uncurable.
2) The power board A-1511-322-D G5
Power boards may sometimes cause problems with display, although rarely causing horizontal lines.
I wouldn't start looking here either, but it is certainly a problem to consider.
3) Main board 1-876-561-13 R1506072C
Slightly more possible and yet not quite likely. A high operating temperature and bad SMD soldering process may cause some soldering contacts on the main board to behave differently when the board is cold versus when it heats up. It is very common and may have all kinds of different effects on the TV and the screen.
One way to check for that is with a regular dryer..the process is explained in many other solutions at fixya and around the net, so I wouldn't repeat it here...but it takes time and patience.
4) The most likely place to start with is the T-Con / LCD controller
404652ASNC6LV4.1 M139.
I'd first replace that and see if the problem goes away.
5) There's a very minor chance that the LVDS cable that connects the main board with the T-Con does not make good contact initially and changes that as a result of getting hot. It's easy to just touch and move it lightly when the TV is still cold to see if it has an effect on the picture.
Sorry I couldn't just nail it for you, but that's the nature of the repair businss :-)

I'm having the same problem. I have noticed on mine that the menu when brought up is clear and I can see it perfectly. The picture on all the inputs is just as described above though. BUT, like I said I can see the menu just fine. This leads me to believe that it's not the panel. Anyone have a solution to this, or at least know what could be causing it?
