Question about Microsoft Office 2003 Pro (269-07387) for PC
In your Windows Explorer Go to
Tools-->Folder Option-->View--> uncheck "Hide Extension fro known File Types"
Now get back to your file.
You'll notice a .dat at the end of the file name. just rename it as .ppt
ex--> filename.dat filename.ppt

Tips for a great answer:
When do you start MS PowerPoint then
office check for problems such as add-ins or file extension that
would not start powerpoint. If you find such problem then try to
start your MS PowerPoint in safe mode.
If you will be able to start in safe
mode then there is a problem with add-ins. So disabling the add-ins
can fix the problem.
You can disable the add-ins by
Click the File tab.
On the Manage menu, click Disabled
Items, and then click Go.
