It's an E-004, this has to do with your fuser unit.
The hot rollers in the exit of the machine.
Inside the front right door, half way down on the rightjam indicator panel with a screw at the top.
Remove that screw to expose a circuit board, there is a little green circle push switch, press that switch and a dollar symbol will appear on the control panel. Now press *4* on the control panel,
using the plus button under the flip panel for reducing and enlarging one percent increments, press the plus key up to 13, the copier will read out error, then press the * key to reset.
It will probably come back because of a bad connection or a blown fuse in the fuser unit, or it will be fixed.
Thanks
Bob

- Hi Ather,
I'm a little confused with your reply, after hitting the * key did the E-004 go away? Then later you say the copier is working properly but just only the PDF can't work like before. Is that the large paper tray on the lower right? If the copier was copying when it went into the error code after you reset the code it probably has paper jammed inside it and you will have to clear the jam before it will try to come ready again.
The large capacity tray will lower the paper if it is a jam state.
Good luck with it.
Thanks

- Hello Ather,
Sort
staple/sort
group
These are sorting options with a push switch to go to different modes. do you have a sorter attached to the left side of your copier or is there just a tray that the copies come out and lay on.
There are 2 power supplies in your copier one works the copier main body the other supplies power to the accesories such as the ADF, the paper deck, the sorter and I believe the duplex unit?
I don't know what else I can tell you by writing back and fourth. I found your last post this morning because it did not go to my inbox it went to the spam box. so I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. You can call me at 561 319-8253 and maybe we can walk thru your troubles over the phone.
Thank you

- Hi Ather,
I forgot the most basic thing when it comes to these machines when they get confused.
Turn the machine off then unplug it. Leave it unplugged for a couple minutes, plug it back in and turn it back on.
Good luck

- Nice video! Reset your dipswitches on the feeder circuit board to off. Turn off the copier and then unplug it. Wait a couple minutes then plug it back in, make another video. Remove all the paper from the feeder stand back away from the copier with the camera to show a whole view of the entire machine and let me see the copier go thru its warm up procedure. Then have someone put in some originals to be copied hit the reset key a couple times and then press the start button and let me see what happens.
Thanks

- Hi Ather,
Please come back and rate my help, I know it'sworking again.
Your feeder wasjust in a test mode and probably got there by trying to clear the error.
I would greatly appreciate a rating from you.
Thanks

- Hi Ather,
I watched the original video again, right next to the button he pushed to manually check the doc feeder is the row of dip switches used to do different operations with the document feeder.
All of those dip switches need to be turned off and that will fix your trouble.
Let me know and good luck
Bob
