Question about HP PSC 1350 All-In-One Thermal Printer

HP 1350 all-in-one ran out of paper.

Laptop is Vista, connection is usb. Added paper to printer, printer is online and ready, jobs are still in the print q. Have powered off printer and computer, disconnected printer from computer, powered on printer, connected to laptop and powered on laptop. Laptop still shows printer out of paper.

Every time this device runs out of paper, it's a hassle. I powered off the pc and the printer, and then moved the usb cable to another usb port. Power on the printer and after it has gone thru its startup, power on the computer. Then the jobs in the queue printed just fine.

Installed HP deskjet 890c printer to new windows 7 laptop - purchased new usb printer cable - will not print from laptop but will print test page from printer


Before we conclude that cable is faulty, we have few things that need to be checked.

  • In the device manager check for "Other Devices" and expand it, you may see an device with exclamation sign on it. Right click and uninstall the device.
  • Disconnect the printer USB and reconnect it back.
  • Windows 7 detects the hardware and automatically installs the correct driver.
Note: When you connect the USB cable to the printer, and then to the computer, Windows 7 activates Windows Update. Windows Update searches online for the most recent product driver on the Windows Update site. If the online driver is more recent than the driver stored in Windows 7, the computer downloads and installs the updated driver.The Windows Update process takes place automatically. Therefore, you might not notice that the process is in progress.
If you dont see any notification on connecting the printer, try plugging to different USB port.
If non if these works, replace the cable.

Can't delete an abandoned print job now in print queue. It ran out of paper ages ago - now won't print (despite having paper) and won't delete or cancel that job. Won't print anything!


Disconnect fron the computer. Turn off printer and unplug from wall for at least 15 minutes. Plug back into wall and turn on. Do not connect to computer yet. See if printer cycles through self test and becomes ready. If if does, reconnect to computer. If job reappears and tries to print, you must clear the job from your computer print que.

  • Print queue : Checks for and clears pending print jobs in the print queue (a log of print jobs waiting to print).

  • Conflicts : Checks for conflicts with other drivers, such as other printer brands.
  • Default printer : Checks the default printer setting and prompts to select the HP product as default (optional).

HP Support says “If the Ready light is blinking, and the Go light is on, it indicates Data in the printer memory is waiting to be printed. Pressing the GO button prints from Tray 1 or from another tray if Tray 1 is empty and the paper size is supported in the other Tray. Pressing the JOB CANCEL button cancels the current job and the printer returns to ready.
Make sure the paper size is correctly defined.

Cant connect my SX200 via usb to my laptop


Jess,
If you are runnig Vista, disconnect your printer form your computer, reboot and wait for Vista to come all the way up. When Vista is ready, plug your usb cable into your computer. Vista should then say it has forund a new device and follow the instructions. If Vista does not see the printer, then your USB cable, or one of your USB ports (PC or printer) are bad. Make sure the printer is powered on and ready when you do this.

Dont have idea how to connect my printer


you have two cables along with the printer one is power adapter and the other is usb cable, put one end of the usb cable into the printer and the other into the usb port of your hp pavilion a6130n, switch on the laptop, power on the printer, then put the disk that comes along with the printer into the drive, run the setup
