Laptop is Vista, connection is usb. Added paper to printer, printer is online and ready, jobs are still in the print q. Have powered off printer and computer, disconnected printer from computer, powered on printer, connected to laptop and powered on laptop. Laptop still shows printer out of paper.
Every time this device runs out of paper, it's a hassle. I powered off the pc and the printer, and then moved the usb cable to another usb port. Power on the printer and after it has gone thru its startup, power on the computer. Then the jobs in the queue printed just fine.

Therefore, you might not notice that the process is in progress. If you dont see any notification on connecting the printer, try plugging to different USB port. If non if these works, replace the cable. Good Luck!!
