Monitor adjustment menu refuses to be dismissed

Hi there, I have a Relisys TL766RU monitor. It seems to have developed a fault whereby the monitor adjustment menu appears upon bootup and refuses to be dismissed. Another person has had this problem here: http://www.velocityreviews.com/forums/t478395-relisys-tl766ru-menu-problem.html But did not receive a response. Is there anyway i can fix this? Adam

I have an e-machines monitor with the same problem. i returned it but they could not find a problem. Now the monitor is out of warranty and they will not talk to me about it. I have found that pushing in the on/off switch really hard sometimes fixes it and it will stay fixed until the monitor is turned off again. I suspect it is a problem in the switch.

A temporary solution is to adjust the screen resolution. If you right click on your Desktop, click on Personalise, then Display Settings, you'll be able to alter the resolution. You don't have to actually make the change permanent, just change it and when it asks you if you want to accept it, say no. That's made mine disappear for a while, but I suspect the menu will appear again soon.

Running Check Disk seems to work for a while too, but it's not permanent either.

Someone suggested disconnecting the buttons on the bottom of the screen, but I'm reluctant to try that.

Lcd monitor working fine but the adjustment screen apears on my monitor in a small square enveloppe how can i restore system thanks in advanceDewulf Jan

I assume by "adjustment screen" you mean the OSD (On Screen Display). This is the box where the menus for adjusting the screen appear. If I'm correct, that means you have pushed the "menu" button on your LCD and need to push it again to turn the OSD off. If pushing it again does not solve the problem I would say it's time to have the LCD repaired. In many, but not all, that OSD goes off on it's own after a bit.

All of a sudden there is no picture on my relisys 15" tft monitor, sound and channel change work, please helpnessa, thanks va

The fault is likely the back-light. The fault could be the inverter board that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or the CCFL lamp. The CCFL lamp is a mini fluro tube.

How to use speakers

If your monitor has built in speakers then there should be a small jack in the back, usually green in color. You would need to run an audio cable from the monitor to the proper jack on the back of your computer, usually the green color like on the monitor. Once connected you should be able to use the volume button on the monitor to adjust to your preference. But remember external speakers are usually a higher quality than those built in to the monitor. Hope this helps.

RELISYS MONITOR How do I get the speakers to work please ?

Hey...Dude,
To check if there a built-in speakers... look under the monitor and look for a audio jack usually located next to the VGA and power connections. If you got one, then you need a audio cable to connected to from your monitor to your pc audio output jack.

Relisys TL766 monitor. OSD menu continually open, wont close. Standby button doesnt always function.

Here is a definite solution to all those having problems with OCS menu on Relisys TL 766 Monitor.
Having tried many of the posted solutions none of which worked. The only option was to visit my local PC repair shop who disconnected the OCD monitor for UK £15.00. Spare parts for this model are no longer available. Only down side was the power indicator light in middle of now redundant control buttons does not work. Otherwise a monitor works perfectly. NO MORE STRESS.

I think the pincushion of your screen needs adjusting and this can only be done internally. If it is a brand new monitor return it otherwise find a competant technician. Hope this helps.
