Question about Coby MP-C7085 MP3 Player

Songs won't show up in browser on MP3 player

I downloaded a lot of songs but when I go to play them, they show up but only one at a time. I can not use the browse setting to scroll through the song list. I have to keep forwarding after each song. The count does show them in there but I can not use the browse function.

i want to be able to browse through the songs instead of forwarding to the song i want

The browser function worked for a day or two showing albums, etc., but now I go to the browser, and only find 15 or so tracks by one artist that I loaded. When I try to re-load the other songs, it says they are already in the player. I wish I could find them!

this is because your mp3 player isn't meant to play video songs. its an MP3 player, meaning it won''t play AVI video files.

Song's won't load, even though the files show

Yeah, the songs are in the wrong format for your player. There are some DRM-protected songs that allow you to play the song on your computer, but they won't actually play on an mp3 player even though they appear to transfer. If you download ALL of your songs in mp3 format, you will never have this problem.

I've downloaded songs but they don't show up on my player

Each mp3 player can only play songs in certain formats. A Philips GoGear, for instance, can't read iTunes format. Some players cannot read DRM-encrypted WMA files, which is what most music services use. When you load a song in the wrong format to an mp3 player, the song appears to transfer, but the mp3 player won't actually play it. The best workaround for this problem is to only load songs that are in true mp3 format - they are accepted by 99% of digital audio players. If you give us your manufacvturer/model #, and music service name, we can tell you exactly which formats your player plays.

Sansa e280 - missing songs from mp3 playlists but playable through the computer

Hi make sure that the songs that are on the player are in MP3 or WMA file format. If they are in MP3 or WMA format, reformat the player and reload the songs back to the mp3 player. I and some of my friends experience the same problem but thanks from the sandisk technical support people i found out that it was just the songs that i am transferring are in MP4. Hope this helps out.

MP3 Player wont play

I've found out how to help this problem. What you have to do is re-download the firmware and reformat the data area.

Download from this site: http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads.aspx?product=25
(If this doesn't autolink, copy and paste it in your browser's address bar.)

And when you run it, click the checkbox for "Format Data Area." When the message comes up saying you want to delete all the files, click "yes-" it's worth deleting all your songs if it works properly afterwards. You'll have to re-sync your songs and the downloads take forever, but it works.
