Question about Lucent Definity 8403 Corded Phone
In a hotel setting, one room has a "do not disturb" message on their phone. How do you reset this, so that they can get calls?
Partner, all releases. Examples
Receptionist Call Routing. If you want calls to be answered by the receptionist first, set the lines at the receptionist's extension to Immediate Ring and the lines at the users' extensions to No Ring. (This is the factory setting)
Receptionist Backup. If you want all calls on a line to ring directly at users' extensions -with the receptionist providing backup -set the line at the users' extensions to Immediate Ring. Then set the line (or lines) at the receptionist's extension to Delayed Ring. An incoming call that is not answered by a user within 20 seconds will also ring at the receptionist's extension.
To change the way outside lines or pools ring at an extension:

SOURCE: Do you have a programming
You can do this in single digits if you change the selector code to 6. Look at page 6 of the following pdf. http://www.wedophones.com/Manuals/AT&T/Partner%20Mail%20VS%20R5%20Planning%20Forms.pdf
Each selector code, except 9 is preceded with a 5, which is direct extension transfer. If you create a digit, say 7, selector code of 6 and put your extension range in the extensions, you should be able to dial 71x and do an immediate transfer to voice mail. This is sort of a guess as I don't have my Partner system set up on the bench.
If you strip the right portion of the url away, you can find a full VS r5 manual on the wedophones website.
