Intermatic R8806R101C will not keep time

Hello, anyone out there that can help? The yellow dial on my R8806R101C will not keep time correctly. Everything else appears to to function properly. Note: There was a problem with the pump which has been resolved. Troubleshooting the problem did involve turning the dial several rotations (never counter clockwise). Is the dang thing just broke or what? Replace or reair? ????????????????

SOURCE: Turned off main circuit breaker for maintenance

OK .. first check the breaker in the main electrical panel, make certain that it is retset, then the breakers in the pool disconnect, making sure they are reset and feeding power to the pump. Oh just so there is no confusion. when resetting a breaker, press firmly to off , then back to on .. if the timer will opperate the clock dial , then it should be good with turning on the pump.

I bought a new intermatic t104p3 and it wouldn't turn on automatically

You have to have the On and Off "trippers" firmly installed against the yellow timer dial and the thumb screws on them must be tight. Turn the time dial by hand to be sure it trips the lever back and forth. If that part if working OK then you will need someone to come and make sure the load (device you're controlling) is connected to it properly and of course the timer is indeed running and appears to be keeping the correct time. You can check that a half hour after setting it to the current time.

Hook up the system works when on but timer does not move there fore it will not come on or shut off automatic

If the yellow dial is not keeping time first check to see if the motor is wired correctly. If yellow dial is keeping time make sure you have the pins inserted correctly. see the parts list here.

Timer wheel seems to slip. Won't hold time

You posted under Intermatic T104 timer.
If you have different timer, information below may not fit your timer.
Add a comment with correct timer brand and model number.

1) Click manual override on-off to see if Load turns ON, and that override snaps crisp and clean and is not sluggish or hard to move.
If override is not functioning well, then timer is bad. Buy new timer.
2) If dial is rotating, note current time, and watch if dial is keeping correct time over full day.
If dial is running slow, then buy T100 series 240Volt clock motor for T104 timer.
3) If dial is keeping good time, then tripper might be worn and need replacement

I need the instruction manual for Model # R8806R101C.

R8806R101C manual is not shown on Intermatic, even among discontinued models.
But product is still for sale.

R8806P manual is available:
I suspect manual is very similar since it's a mechanical time piece. If not, then add a comment with specifics and I will help.

I've set the time on/off and ive tried turning on manually but the lights wont turn on on exact time set. y? when i manually turn on the lights come on 2 hrs later or so, y doesnt it turn on right away?

If I understand correctly, you have an Intermatic timer.
The timer has a yellow dial that rotates around like a clock.

Does the manual override work?
If yes.
a) then the circuit has electricity
b) the lights are in working order

Does the clock rotate?
If yes
a) then the timer is probably good
b) the clock motor could be bad
c) the gears could be rusty and dirty

Do you have the current time set correctly?
Lift and rotate dial until current time lines up with silver pointer.

Do you have the trippers set on the correct time?
There are ON trippers and OFF trippers
Attach trippers to correct time
Tripper pins wear out

Suggestion: You sit in front of the timer and watch the trippers as they rotate to the bottom of the dial
When the trippers get to the bottom, they push a lever that turns lights on and off.
Look at the photo:

Here's a website that sells tripper pins and clock motors for Intermatic timers.
You can buy new trippers or clock motor

The timer is used on an Electric Point of Use 2.5 water heater. Currently I get hot water only about two hours in the evening. Before it was --on demand. I opened the timer box and one of the timer box"...

No overcharges here Ms bernarda

If I understand correctly you have Intermatic timer with a yellow dial
You have the Intermatic timer hooked to a small 2-1/2 gallon point-of-use water heater
Your point-of-use water heater is working fine
The timer turns on the water heater once a day instead of twice a day

And it seems like one of the tripper pins has fallen off the yellow dial
The tripper pin is missing and you can't find it or put it back.
You can turn off the electricity and poke around the bottom of the timer box and see if tripper pin can be pulled out using tweezers
Do you know Grainger sells Intermatic tripper pins for $1.67 plus shipping?

Now, if this is not the right answer, you post a response and we can probably help

How do i set timer to turn lights off and on

If I understand correctly, you have Intermatic electro-mechanical timer that has a yellow clock dial on front
And you want to set the timer to turn lights on and off
And your wiring is correct and the manual override turns the lights on-and-off correctly

To set timer:
Pull dial back toward you. Rotate clock dial until current time lines up with silver pointer.
On other brands of timer, you rotate dial until current time lines up with an arrow or the word 'time' located on lower right of clock dial
Timer has on-off trippers that fit outer edge of dial.
Intermatic trippers are labeled ON and OFF
Other brands of timer have dark and light-colored trippers >> I think the dark trippers on some brands are OFF

Place 'off' tripper when you want timer to turn off
Place 'on' tripper when you want timer to turn on
Turn on electricity and expect timer to run for 20 years
Dial has to be re-set to current time after power outage
