OK, after not too much searching, found this page which tells what the beeps are saying - followed the instructions to remove side brush, the little one that senses dirt, and there was a TON on hair and stuff preventing it from working. Removed it, and now its working like a champ. Took two seconds a screwdriver. http://www.roboticvacuums.net/roomba-talks.html

Hi, it might be the 9-beep error. You can compare it with the video found on the EESolutions.ca website. They sell a repair kit there that can help you fix your Roomba.

Roomba 530

Hey

Please look for other same problem posted here ;-)

You are probably facing a bumper sensor issue.
Try to clean the bumper first and if this goes on, either call iRobot service, or
take a look at this page for the step by step 9 beep fix.

Have fun

My roomba 530 runs in a circle and does not move forward. After 2 minutes it stops with 11 beeps and a flashing red light to the left of the power button. It has no clicking noise. Does anyone know what is...

Hey'
This means Roomba is not registering obstacles. Roomba may be stuck in one place.
Roomba may be in extremely large room, try setting up virtual walls to create smaller area.
If Roomba is not in a large room, tap Roomba's bumper to confirm it is properly working.

Hope this helps

Backs up spins in circles, then red light flashes and beeps

Sounds like either the battery is bad or not being charged properly with subsequent loss of programming.

The problem is your Roomba's bumper. Tap it with your hand about a dozen times, blow it out with compressed air, and then try running the Roomba. If the same thing occurs, call support at 1-877-855-8593. (Be sure to have the Roomba with you when you call.)

Good Morning, My Roomba makes a banging sound and the brushes don't turn. It stops after about two minutes. Thank you & regards, Judith Halls

Hi Judith,

after removing and cleaning your Roomba's brushes & bearings (see the manual for instructions), try running the unit without the dust bin. You can watch the main brush while the Roomba runs. If it's not turning, it's time to call support.
