Question about RCA HD52W58 52" TV
My supra 21" TV doesn't have sound when in use through cable connection, but there is picture, however if we use through dvd, there is sound.
Since the set will give sound from a DVD, at least the TV's audio amplifier is working. I'm ready to say you have a bad tuner, but I'm not absolutely certain. There may be trouble in the TV's audio processing stages. Or you could have something set wrong.
First, check the TV settings to be sure you have it set for the right tuning system and that the audio is set for normal. If the settings are right, try tuning in something besides the cable. If you have a VCR with RF output (that is, one that outputs on channel 3 or 4), hook that up and check for normal sound on that channel. If there is still no sound, your TV is at fault and would need service.
